Basically the 7950 is on par (just a couple FPS over) with GTX 580 performance. Based on single 1920x1200 resolution monitors and doing it for $20 less at $480.

Crossfire Review beating 6990 / 590 by 26.3 FPS at $960 but at $200 more than either 6990 or 590. Again on single 1920x1200 resolution monitor set up.

The AMD 7950 is beating the SLI GTX 580's max 95 FPS same settings in BF3 by 7 FPS at $40 less.

All in all on single monitor 1920x1200 resolution it's on par with 580 performance for a tad less. Quite an accomplishment. thumb.gif

It widens the gap a little bit more at 2560x1600 resolution against the GTX 580 1.5GB version on average of 8 FPS. No reviews yet with the GTX 580 3GB vs the 7950 3GB which I'm sure will close that gap again but for an extra $70. The clear winner at 2560x1600 resolution would be the AMD 7950.

PS - I did realize two things. It's only one game its based on and by no means definitive. Just one of the most popular games.

Also have not compared two overclocked views. So far the potential over clocks on the 7000 series's have been great.
