Can I ask why you need them to be extended?

But yeh of course you can extend them, use the same guage as what it comes with your safe that way

EDIT: this should really be in the power supply section

PSUs generally use 18 AWG for the cables. It helps to have a crimping tool to fit the ATX pins onto the cable like the one that MDPC-X supply (site is temporarily down at the moment). You can also use one similar to this but the MDPC-X tool is better for ATX pins as it provides a more secure connection as it bites in to the insulation to hold it. The other tool is better for molex pins though.

Edit: You can crimp the pins onto the cables with thin nosed pliers and if you're never going to remove them again that'll work. The connections aren't as robust though and probably will slide out if you try to remove them.

Try to avoid getting a PSU with non-standard molex housings at the PSU end if you intend sleeving it. I've made that mistake with my Seasonic and it uses double wires on some of the 24 pin connectors which require splicing. It also looks messy as it's not possible to line up the cables neatly as it uses 2 housings on the PSU end. Also the PCIE connectors use double wires on some of the pins which again need splicing. As Seasonic also make some of the Corsair PSUs it's worth looking closely at them as well to check the PSU end of the connectors.

You can buy sleeved (or non-sleeved, I'm guessing) PSU cord extensions if you don't want to bother with sleeving.

Crimping Tool and ATX female pins here You do get 50 pins with the tool. I'd also suggest the official molex pin removal tool that he sells as well as it makes it so much easier.

You'd want 18AWG wire to make up your own cables and just multiply by the number of cables you're replacing at each length and add 10-20% on for wastage.

The PSU looks like it's a Seasonic build and uses the non-standard 24 pin plug at the PSU end which probably means splicing some of the cables. The PCI-E connectors seem to use 8 pin plugs so no problems there. The molex and possibly the SATA connectors use the flat wire cabling system that Corsair use quite a lot but you can, if you want separate them to sleeve although it's probably easier to make up your own which is what I did for the molex cables. I admitted defeat on successfully sleeving the SATA Power cables and bought a sleeved molex to sata adapter until I figure out/get competent at making my own.

Check whether sleeving/cutting/modifying the cables invalidates the warranty and whether in the event of a warranty claim you'd have to return the original cables with it.

Edit: I've seen the Silverstone Striders recommended for their use of standard connectors (and being good as well).

I might have misunderstood here but do you mean you're getting a 24 Pin extender? Bear in mind with the PSU you've chosen you won't be able to plug it into the back of it as it uses non standard connectors.

Corsair sells extension sets now for your PSU thumb.gif

Not sure if they're shorter/longer, though. Something worth looking into, though.
