I think inno3d cheaped out on a batch of cards or something for them to change electronics. I feel they are at fault here. If I was to ask them they would probably say we don't make the cards to fit certain water blocks ow and there aint no warranty either as u have taken the card apart blar blar blar

any idea's would be grate 337337

its sorta my folt 2 i gess i didnt pick up on the caps 337

700back side of card these prongs i have highlighted are the 6 caps that r hitting as they ar 2 prong straight through caps im thinking i might desolder and re solder onto back side of card. Looked at putting caps into water blocks cant do it the water channels r there.

You know.. Caps are very hard to distroy. If you have a professional solder gun and a little knowledge of what you're doing.. Like soldering on the back as well as the front and clipping the ends on the top very close to the quick. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE POLARITY OF THE CAPS RIGHT. Check and the check again and then right before you solder check one more time. Also if you have a radio shop close by see if you can buy extra caps the same Microfarad just in case. I think you can do it ... You're a trooper. thumb.gif

Also.. The four Caps at the end of the card look a smidge larger as well.

Relocating the caps to the back side of the GPU will work just fine, as mentioned just make sure the polarity is correct. If you're decent with a soldering iron, it's not a difficult job at all, but if you've never soldered anything, I'd see if you can get a friend who has to do it.

Do you have an old useless piece of computer hardware with caps that you would throw away?  If so you can practice on that like taking out old caps and reinstalling/soldering them back.  You'll then know if you can do it.

iv got an a g92 800gts i could try it with but the pcb solder called chip quick is 39.95 au alone and id need a smaller tip for my soldering iron and some wick so its spend 50-60 on parts to do it my self or $60
25 years experience arcade machine restorer/ builder who has the right gear to do it

he was the one who told me about the chip quick it stays molt longer so u just fill the hole and slide it in and it sets

but i would love to say i did it my self

I understand and hope it all goes well as I also subbed this thread from the beginning to see how it all turns out.
