Monitor suggestions for eyefinity 3x1 portrait

Thread Starter
I'm thinking of upgrading to a 3x1 portrait eyefinity config, I am not going to get a stand or mount the monitors on the wall, so I need for them to be able to rotate to portrait..
I don't need 120 Hz or IPS panel, though I would like for them to be IPS if possible. I want something affordable that doesn't break the bank.
I was thinking U2312HM, but the AG coating in the u2711 bothered me a lot and I am concerned that it will happen with this displays too...
23" or 24" is fine with me. What are your thoughts guys?

running 3 24 inch displays in nvidia surround. I'd say less than 24 is not worth it because price is similar. 24x3 is great and I'd love to upgrade to 27 but Playing at 6080x1200 is great, but it also requires a heck of a graphic setup to power everything at max settings so take that in consideration.

IPS is basically required for portrait. With TN panels the vertical contrast shift is so poor that you can't even read text properly unless you're sitting far from the monitors.

The U2312HM is basically the perfect monitor. The anti-glare coating is apparently thinner than on previous monitors. I haven't seen the other models, but it doesn't bother me at all.

Plus the bezel is incredibly thin.

Awesome, I did my research and right now the U2312HM has a great price and looks like the best option, if it weren't for the AG coating I would have already jumped the gun.

Now that I have your opinion I am more confident, though I would love that someone that had a u2711 would tell me if its indeed different.

The U2711 is a better panel but it has the distinctive IPS anti glare coating. However e-IPS does have some contrast shift as you change viewing angles (colors remain good though).

Ok, I did it. I ordered 3 U2312HM, I'll post my experience as soon as they get here. Although I have to also wait for two 7950's...

Ok, finally I am setup. I gotta say this monitors are great, the anti glare is noticeable, but it doesn't bother me that much. The color is great, and eyefinity is mindblowing, like having a window to the game...

A single 7970 @ max settings struggles a bit with some games, I'll wait till kepler is out and pull the trigger on another one to cfx.
