I've not got any images of what I'm about to describe (I'll try and get some tonight) but maybe you can help:

I've increased DirectLightingIntensity to about 2.6 which seems to give the correct amount of brightness in day light and the correct amount of darkness to shadowed areas, however alot of the characters where direct light isn't hitting them directly or aren't in the shadows are a very burnt red colour as if they have been burnt alive.

Do you know what I could change to tone down the effect? is it just simply lowering the DirectLightingCurve or is there more too it?

I am pretty sure I have an idea of what your describing and also the fix for it but just so I can see when You get a chance post up some pics and we'll get it sorted smile.gif

I believe this may be something to do with subsurface scatter.
