First time water cooling advice. - Page 2

Yeah 240 up top 140 out the back would work, As long as your not heavily overclocking you should be fine. I would do a push pull config on the top and back rad though.

Whats your budget? because original post was a little out of the ballpark.

How much fluid would I need to fill a 360?

I always try to use full-cover blocks, but that's not always feasible if you don't have reference-style cards. They're usually more expensive than the universal blocks, as well. This is about the cheapest full-cover you're going to find.

I have been looking around and the budget should be about $250 w/o gpu or $450. I found out how to get a 360 in my case just the 3rd (or 1st fan doesnt cool as well) So I was thinking about starting off with this and then when i get more $ stepping up to cool my gpu's

I personally hate the tubing any of the pre-made kits come with, also I don't like the barbs.

If I were you I'd budget for 250-300 for cpu and get the bay res from XSPC get yourself some compression fittings and tubing in the size you want and I am a fan of EK blocks and Rads.
Or at the very least get custom tubing and fittings to go with the kit.

Eh, you should be able to come in under $450 for a gpu loop... An RX360 kit and two of the blocks I linked should only run you about $350, and some tubing certainly won't run you the extra $100. wink.gif I'd try and go with the RX kit over the RS if you can fit it in your case, the RS series aren't the most capable radiators.

Ok, Thanks! Any suggestions on tubing size? and how much coolant should I need for the 360?

For tubing, the RX360 kit comes with 7/16" ID 5/8" OD, so you'll want to buy the same unless you want to buy all new barbs too. Primochill LRT gets recommended a lot around here if you're into the whole colored tubing thing, I personally run Tygon Norprene as it's very low-maintenance. For coolant, just go pick up a gallon of distilled water at your local grocery store or Walmart, no need to spend a ton of money on something fancy. You'll probably want to run a kill coil or similar with it, but some places offer that free with the RX360 kit, I know frozencpu does.

I personally like to use 7/16 tubing, and 1/2 fittings (barb) for manageability. I've not had a leak yet, and love the way it looks. No clamps and no compression rings
