Idle temps increased

Thread Starter
Hey,

I've noticed my VC has hotter temps in idle now - 72 deg, from 40-45. I don't know what causes it. Somehow it goes to 70+ in idle, with 0% usage in random intervals, then it drops down back to 40. I can't find the reason for this. Can you tell me what test should I run?

any dust build up on your cooler? other things that are going to affect temps in general is your ambient temps and any reduction in airflow in the case

My case and all parts are clean, and the airflow is ok. I closed everything and run only temp monitor. It was at 48 deg for 10-20 mins, then it went to 71 for more than 10 minutes with 0% gpu usage and then it dropped down to 40 by itself again

Could be just a bug in the software, or if you want to get your hands dirty you could try reseating the heatsink.

Use MSI Afterburner to set a custom fan profile. Perhaps the fan speed isn't working properly.

Somehow I've disabled the 2D mode, so I think this is the reason for those hight idle temps. Now I'm searching how can I turn this mode back
