D3 of course doesn't matter if your a fan of D1 and D2 it's a must buy. GW2 is cool and all but what really makes that game is the free subscription per month but if you took that away it's a generic mmo that we have seen before. Tera Online is pure win, none of that crappy generic 1-9 buttons stuff, that game actually take skills to aim etc. and fun at the same time.

So in my list D3 and Tera Online smile.gif

Guild Wars 2 is the only MMO I'm serious about buying this year. I am a little biased because I have been playing Guild Wars on and off since its release in 2005. History aside, the game looks amazing and the gameplay, concepts and combat are refreshing compared to the current MMO clone-scape. Tera seems too much like Rift, Aion and Lineage 2. The only original and different concept I can spot is the "active-combat". I'm not into paying monthly fees or grinding. D2 introduced me to the world of PC gaming a decade ago but I've lost most of my interest in D3.

Guild Wars 2 is nothing like a generic MMO, TERA is the closest game on the list, down to the art style of a generic MMO. Guild Wars 2 has eliminated many of the standard MMO conventions It even has an active combat system you claim makes Tera a "Win". I don't even have to type it. Watch this video and then look up Guild Wars 2 beta videos from this year.

Unfortunately these are a lot of the videos that have the same broad generalizations that are out. I agree that GW2 seems like it really has the most potential out of all of them, but GW2 will be a generic MMO until release the same as Tera Online will be a generic MMO. No one will really know what shines and what doesn't until that time. An MMO can PROMISE a lot of things (Aion again is the first that comes to mind) but it's implementation could be the most horrendous thing to come out to date. Also, GW2 has the 'lock on' capability with dogding/blocking/parrying, Tera is completely 'free targeting' without any sort of combat lock-on, so while slightly similar they're vastly different in how they're applied.

Tera Online! I've been playing the Closed Betas and the game gets more and more amazing each time. D3 is off my list of games to buy now. It seems like with every Patch in the Beta the game just keeps getting worse and worse.

Guild Wars 2 followed closely by Tera Online. I like the aim based combat idea of Tera, but I think GW2 will be the more complete and fulfilling game.

I mean GW2 does look good but I'm not a hardcore MMO player that I used to be like back in FF11 days. I want something casual and I could hop on to and I feel like Tera Online would be that mmo for me. Coming home from a 60-70 hours per week from work, you don't feel like trying lol. I remember when I brought GW1, it was too involve like I have to gather million pieces of material to make a shoe.. You need leather all the way to shoe laces lol.

Time will tell, if GW2 is so epic then I might get it but if it's eh then ill skip.
