Yes, we discussed that in a previous post. They are still too unstable to use with alot of the newer games. Now as far as simply using them for benchmarks, I would assume that the results may improve seeing that even the most current benchmarks do not present real world challenges to a graphics card, all but for 3DMark06 perhaps. I for one, am not willing to install those drivers only to see a debachle of artificing when playing my favorite games when I have yet to find a game that will not run at 1280x1024, at 2/4xAA and 4/6/8xAF (the highest settings).

I was told by an ATI Technician to stay away from the 6.10 betas for now since I'm getting excellent performance game-wise, and once the final release is available, this card should/will smoke every single-gpu card on the market.

When looking at results for 3DMark05/06, I've noticed that the ONLY card to surpass the scores I'm getting now is the Nvidia 7900GTX(?)2, the one with 2 physical gpu's (I'm not up-to in the Nvidia market, sorry if I screwed that up), and of course any/all crossfire/SLi setups.

Also, recently got my 3DMark06 scores...
@ Stock gpu650/mem1000 --> 6,122
@ OC'd gpu695/mem1062 --> 6,505

Definately need a heavier PSU. That NUUO is pretty much living on the edge right now already

I saw a nice 575w @ Circuit City, I think it said something like Mad Dogg something or another.... anyhoo, I know it said it was SLi & Crossfire certified. Also, do you guys think that 2 X1600Pro's would be faster than my 1 X1950XTX? I can run 2 1600's on this board without using the crossfire cable. Scalable DGE (dual-graphics-engine) on this board allows the cards to work together w/o being connected, its soooo sweet! Also, I've got nothing but good things to say about this board so far. I just need to learn how to adjust ram timings and also adjusting multipliers & HT link and whatnot... then I'll be all good. Thanks again everyone!

I think your X1950XTX will outperform the two X1600's

However, there will be an X1950PRO out soon, which has an internal connector for Crossfire. It's the first card for which you don't need a Crossfire Edition Card, and no outside cable.

It's not out in the US yet, but retails in the UK for about 170 pounds. Thus, UI expect it to be around $275 here in the US.

I'd get something a lot better than a 'Maddog' POC. Also, fur future upgradability, I'd look for something a bit heavier.

If you can afford it, spend around $150-$160 for a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610W or an OCZ GameXStream 700W. Otherwise, the OCZ GameXStream 600W costs about $120.

Well, I used the power usage tool at Antec's website, and from what I have now, its telling me that I need 514w, so yeah, this NUUO is cutting it close, also I've noticed that the temps are getting a bit higher in it as well since I've started OC'ing. The tool stated that I would need at least 634 if going with 2 X1950's. So it looks as though I'm in the market for a 700w if I plan to upgrade...
