Would I get lower temps?

Hi OCN

My question is if I would get lower temps with a Corsair H100 with GT at 1850/1450 RPM than my current D14?

Thanks for your time smile.gif

You may see a small difference, not really much to warrant switching unless you really want to step into water cooling.

There Isint a huge difference. Also if
You put dust filters on it like i did, the temps are probably a bit worse.

None of the Corsair/Antec closed loop coolers are particularly good systems compared to a high end HSF. You certainly would not be getting you money's worth by changing. You may be going backwards? Only testing would tell, but I don't recommend wasting your monet on these CLCs.

In addition you always have the water leak risk which can destroy a lot of expensive PC hardware in a heartbeat as many have found out.

My H80 runs on par with my D14 on the same system. Although I only used closed loops as a temp solution till my budget allows for custom loops, but my 920 and my H80 have been good to me so far.

As for leaks, I've been water cooling since 2006 and have only had 1 leak, lesson learned. Always double/triple check to make sure everything is zip-tied or sitting flush, ever since then I've been golden.

Thanks for the answers. I think i'm just going to wait until I have enough money a custom loop smile.gif

A custom loop is not very expensive at all as people make it out to be. The problem that most people will face is when they want to buy a reservoir, which if you research in the watercooling forums, is unneeded. Hope that helps.

I'm properly going to buy a XSPC Rasa RX240 kit, if it can fit in my 650D ....
