[Techeye] Nvidia's Kepler suffers wobbly perturbations

More industry whispers suggest the reason Nvidia's upcoming hope, the GK104, is late to the table is all the redesigns it has had to go through. Parts on the 32nm had to be redesigned for 28nm, but along the way there were challenges with packaging and interconnects. Some industry watchers suggest that Nvidia gave up a lot of space on its chip, trying to buff up Kepler by bringing Ageia to the hardware.

Well, they sold alot of Fermi cards one way or the other. Nvidia has a way of hypnotizing people who want a top end card, coaxing wallets out of their back pockets.

Well, another Kepler rumor to throw in the bucket.

$550 for a top end GPU is 100% reasonable. Mostly because even $150 cards like the Radeon 6870 are flippin' awesome.

Normally I'd dismiss this as just another rumor, but we all saw what happened with the 400 series. Wouldn't be surprised if the same stuff happened again. Late to the market, marginal performance gains, terrible power consumption, inefficiency, etc. etc.
Just great...
I'm beyond ready for a GPU upgrade because I've been running this 460 since Aug '10.
I don't wanna pay $500+ and I don't wanna settle for GTX500 series nor HD6900/6800 series.
Get friggin' moving Nvidia!! mad.gif

I think this is true, i believe they are trying to put a physx card on the die. They have to add some more functionality somewhere.

Anybody else finding ageia part interesting? Is Kepler having additional hardware for physics acceleration?
