WHAT! I have a single 1080p monitor, single gtx 570 which is OC'd to 900mhz and it can run ultra (no msaa) at 45+ fps. However I prefer to play at high at around 80fps.

I would suggest to wait for Kepler release. Even if the chips turn out to be nothing amazing, the 570 price would still likely come down.

You made the right choice, the kepler isn't even out yet, and who know's how well they will do. Like the Bulldozer hype!!! Yeah its a cpu, but it can happen with gpu's too. 570 is proven, and will last a good while.

570 in SLI for Single 1080p monitor. That should be more than enough juice for 3-5 years. thumb.gif

You don't think that it's advisable to wait if he could? I certainly wouldn't want to have the GPU processing power of two 570s constrained by only 1.25Gb of VRAM going forward into the future.

You also mentioned that you know the new cards will be overpriced. If you're basing this on the history of GPU launch prices then explain how a 570 is a good buy now at $350 when it hasn't dropped in price at all since launch?

OP I would certainly not order the 570 until you try your current single 570 on your new monitor and decide then if you must have more performance now or if you can wait until April.

FPS over 60 may not be neccesary for a monitor with a 60Hz refresh rate, but I hope you aren't saying that the human eye is incapable of seeing more than 24 or even 80 FPS, if you are then read this.

agree with you Shineon2011. Even if Kepler is quicker, once you are running at over a certain FPS does it even matter.

I'd love to see where you can find a 570 for less than $200.
