7970 or Monitor Issue? - Page 3

Thread Starter
I think I've come to the conclusion it's drivers. I have another 7970 that I was returning to Amazon. Before I returned it I decided to pop it in to see if the issue was the same. Both GPUs and both pairs of monitors now exhibit flickering when connected to the 7970 dvi port in Windows. It doesn't matter if Aero is on or off, or whether it's stock over overclocked. I just thought you guys should know that this is most likely a driver issue. It eases my mind a little.

2 days ago i uninstalled all amd drivers, sapphire trix, msi afterburner, ran 2 times ATIMANs uninstaller and reiinstalled the drivers, disabled ulps, installed msi ab. Everything was done step by step and in specific order and with many reboots in between.

Until now, i have had NO signs of this phenomenon anymore!
