first you need to find out how far you can push the card on the stock voltage. every card overclocks differently and you do this at your own risk.

basically what you want to do is download this program and run the benchmark using the default settings.
http://unigine.com/products/heaven/download/

the next part is what is the most time consuming. each run of the test roughly takes about 5 minutes. use ab to raise the core clock about 20mhz each time. if it passes the first round, raise it another 20mhz and run the benchmark again. rinse and repeat until the program crashes. only then will you have found out how far itll go on the stock voltage. now you start raising the core voltage. for this, i sugesst you crank up the fan speed to about 40% give or take. but you can only raise the voltage in .025mv increments. so raise the first .025mv and see if the program runs. more than likely itll crash. then raise it another .025mv and try again. keep doing that until your able to run the benchmark completely. once you finally get all that done, come back and we will try to go further.

I can do that, now what settings does Heaven need to be on? And how do I know how much to raise voltage to on AB?

when you open up the program, itll be at default settings. just hit run and then hit the benchmark tab.

to unlock voltage adjustment, hit the settings tab, then go to the compatiability properties and tick unlock voltage control and unlock voltage monitoring. clost out settings and restart ab. you should have the core voltage selector available now.

What if I changed the Heaven setting how do i change them back

Edit:

So It looks like I can do up to 960 Core Clock, Thats going 20mhz at a time. Cause when I hit 980 even with .20mv increase got airfacts.

960 on stock voltage is good. so bump your core to 980 and adjust the voltage until your stable. once your stable there, bump the core to 1000mhz and try again. be careful though, now is the time to start keeping eye on your temps. adjust your fan spped as needed. also, im not sure how far that card can go, so id keep it at 1000mhz for now until others start chiming in. just to be on the safe side. thumb.gif

Do I mess with my Memory Clock at all? Also I hit 980MHz and 1012mv (I dont what that means) so I'm gonna push for 1000MHZ....Now What should my temps be on full load?

Also here is what it said at 980:

your card temp is going to depend on case air flow. im not sure what the max temp is for these card is. i believe its 90c, but dont quote me on it.. you definitely want to stay far south of the temp/. as long as your at 80c or below, your fine. obviously the lower the better.
