How do I setup eyefinity?

Hey guys my rig is in my sig and right now I actually have one Acer S232HL 23" monitor. I want to buy two more to have a triple monitor setup and also do eyefinity.

It it possible to set this up with the one graphics card I have? If so ... how? I read suggestions of using this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814999034&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=4003003&SID=pgpjg8gmf0ck
but how does this work if the monitors don't have a display port?

Thanks!

You have an nvida card, so you will probably want to post this question in that forum. While I have Eyefinity, that's AMD (ATI)'s way of multi-monitor gaming. Nvidia's is called nVidia Surround, I believe.

If it's similar to setting up Eyefinity, then your displays need to all be the same resolution, and at least one has to have a Display Port. However, that GPU does not have much power, since it only has 1GB of VRAM, to run multiple monitors in any serious game. I had crossfired 5870 1GBs before my current setup, and there were issues at times maxing out the settings of certain games. It comes down to have more VRAM. My rig runs games in single monitor with max settings and solid FPS, but in Eyefinity, sometime the FPS dips to lower, yet still playable framerates.

EDIT: Here's an Nvidia Surround Club. They would surely be able to answer your questions. smile.gif
