Kentsfield.

How many jrabb?

Also, I wonder how much power difference there will be if you set all those rigs folding at 75% instead or 100%, or maybe even 50%. Any idea about that jrabb?

I think it will become an issue within a billing cycle or maybe two--depending on how slow they are to put it together. No doubt about it 24/7 100% burns the kilowatt hours.

I would like to get a couple of the kentsfield, but for now I think I'm going to start with a row of E6300. not really that much in cost. but will be selling off some of the older rigs to make room.

This graph (second one) simply blew my mind. With the launch of the GPU client I'm going to have to invest in one or possibly two 1900XTX's in the next couple of months, if BigVal was right then these things are going to eat the whole farm by themselves. Bolted inside my dual core box that I'm planning to launch with my case mod entry, my rig will double my farm's capacity; I may just get another box and make it a hat-trick ^_^.

Semes like all schools got the same comps this year? Are they HP-Compaq? Ill talk to the principal sometime this week about it. i figure he would "atleast" let me try it on a couple to show that it wont hurt them. Even let it run on teachers computers if they didnt mind. I would tell him i would set it up on everyone that he would let me use.

Well, the GPU folding can do way more than CPU's can in one day, but they've turned the points per day way down for GPU folding. Each x1900xtx can do say 500 points a day which is around 15,000 points a month. I didnt know they turned down the pointage. Still, that's a lot of points for one GPU.

I am hearing that they do use some CPU processing power and will be conflicting with any FAH cores on the CPU--maybe some load balancing can resolve this issue. Also appaprently not supporting Crossfire yet. So as exciting as the GPU client is I don't think it will be blowing up quite as expected. Still won't know unless you try!
