why not replace corsair with seasonic?

and you cant say seasonic is the same as corsair, becuase there is differances in the parts other than the core.

Too bad it doesn't work on the 1000W.

It's overkill for my system. tongue.gif

I originally bought it to run Tri-SLI 580's for Surround, but after owning it I wasn't impressed with the performance versus power draw. I have since decommissioned my Surround setup and sold off the third card. For what I'm doing now, I don't see myself ever needing the power of the AX1200 since I haven't even had time to touch any games for months already. redface.gif

I have a Seasonic X-650 which I got on sale last summer and it's great.

Picked up a AX750 right after Christmas 2011 for $119.99 shipped = was too good a deal to have passed up plus that 7 year warranty and it's sitting there brand-y new as that'll be going in my upcoming Ivy Bridge build sometime by fall of this year I think.

There are some subtle differences like the cables and the casing to an extent but the inner guts on many Corsair PSU units is Seasonic like the AX750 inner guts is of the current Seasonic X760 but with an extra 2 years of Corsair warranty.

IMHO to pay even $193.00 for a x860 Platinum to me is overkill.

They think it's Platinum plated.biggrin.gif

To me it's not worth the too much cost difference.
