eek.gif A whole 10p/month, just for me?! You're pulling my leg tongue.gif

I'm planning on restarting the build sometime soon.

I have some cutting work that I've decided needs doing, the front grills being the major one, as well as working on drilling some holes for replacement case feet. The upshot of these jobs is that it costs nothing thumb.gif

I've also found some hand tools that are used for quickly (and roughly) cutting big bits of excess body filler, so I'll put in an order for them soon, and that'll also speed up the sanding work!

Finally, I may be taking another dive into the deep end and trying my hand at some metalwork... but I just need to find someplace to buy sheet metal. Unsure how to go about it though, and I'd maybe rather find some scrap metal so that I can recycle it. Will need to do research into how easy/hard it is to get my hands on the metal though tongue.gif

I've had many an accident with this build so far, mainly burning myself with a soldering iron. But I'm still going strong! rolleyes.gif

As per Phoenix18's request, I shot a short video demonstrating how I disassembled my two Cougar Vortex 140mm fans.

I just want to thank you A LOT for this video. I have the 120mm versions of those fans and I've been wanting to paint them and this doesn't look so bad. If I may ask, what kind of paint did you use for the fans?

Hey! No worries for the video. I really should reupload it to Youtube or something redface.gif

As for the kind of paint, unless you're living in the UK you won't be able to get the exact brand. I bought it from a chain of auto stores over here. Honestly though, from what I've seen here on OCN, any kind of automotive quality spray paint should be fine.

I think applying the paint in light coats are more important than the paint type, but just to be safe I always use paint designed to be used on cars/vehicles. From what I've seen here, it seems to be a commonly used method.

Hope this helps thumb.gif

Edit: Current Status

For those watching this build go on, I know the constant hopping on and off the fence must be irritating, especially if you like what you've seen.

Because of that, and not wanting to give false hope, I'm going to officially stop the project for now. As before, lack of disposable income is the culprit. Until I find a permanent source of income (read: find a decent job), I'm taking this build on hiatus.

Apologies again! frown.gif

Thanks for the tips! I hope that you will be able to find work soon so you can get back to this sweet build.

Cheers!
