Not as far as I can tell. I'm using AIDA64 Extreme to monitor my temps. Checked before and after, idle temps for NB are around 30 degrees C, and SB temps are around 35 degrees C. Contemplating installing a 40mm fan on the SB heatsink to help bring it down a bit more.

Ok, so lately I've been busy working on my Honours project for university, but I'm on my summer now. I have a week before I'm off on holiday, so will get some work done on my build during that time! I've bought myself a power sander to reduce the time it takes to do the samding work, hope to get it all done this week!

Oh dear, I've been neglecting this build again. Never fear, I'm back!

First things first, the power sander I bought to help with shaping the body filler seems to be taking just as long as manual sanding, not good. Anyone have suggestions for a good power sander?

In better news, here's some finished parts!

I'll need to power down in order to get a few pics of the new look of the motherboard heatsinks, I'm particularly proud of how they've turned out.

Decided to disassemble the build in order to clean it, then take some pics of the motherboard with heatsinks installed. Once done with that, I added the new RAM, rebuilt the SSD's, rebuilt the GPU and added it, and added the new PSU, then rebuilt and placed on my desk to try to avoid as much dust building up again. Here's a little look:

The photo quality is a little poorer than I'd hoped, sorry. Also, in the last pic you can see one of my 140mm fans. A blade was snapped off in an accident a few days back, and I'm currently trying to repair the damage with some "Gorilla Glue".

Yes, this is an update, you're not just seeing things! Been working like a madman over my summer break on university work, and it's got me to the point where I'm now taking this coming semester off university, to clear my head, get on top of stress and so on. This of course means a lot more time to spend on this project smile.gif

I managed to find some time off and test out the Cougar 140mm fan that had a blade snap off. It works well, I now just need to find a way of repainting the damaged areas.

I tested it using my older fan controller to make sure the fan speeds matched up with the non-broken one and I'm happy to report it's all fine. I did briefly turn it up to full speed, wanting to experiment and find out what the highest safe speed I could ease out of it. It happily went all the way up to max speed, but the fan frame itself developed a wobble that stayed until I stepped back to about half power.

More testing is needed to determine exactly when this starts to develop, but I'm happy with the results, sure beats paying out anouther £30 for a replacement fan!
