Is it possible to recover Mac OS X files on Windows 7?

Thread Starter
Back when I had a MacBook I had Linux installed on a partition just so I can familiarize myself with the Linux environment. At that time I was triple booting between Mac OSX, Win 7, and Ubuntu. My primary OS was Mac OSX and just kept Win 7 around in case if I ever needed it.

One day I decided I wanted to increase my Linux partition and decrease my Win 7 partition but instead I accidentally wiped my Win 7 partition along with my external hard drive that was connected to my laptop. I wasn't able to find a recovery program to retrieve all the data I lost on my external drive because the file system on the external drive was in HFS and I had to sell my MacBook to somebody else. Since most of my friends use PC's, I was pretty much screwed.

Anyways, does anybody here know where I can find a software that can recovery data from HFS file system using Windows 7? or is that even possible?

Oh by the way, ever since the accidental wipe I haven't used my external drive since just in case I end up writing something over my data.
