Yes but what is the ram set to in the bios... is it at auto? You really have to set it manually.

Sorry my mistake then cos i thought were locked after a certain week?

http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.p...0&pagenumber=1

My old xp2500 wouldn't budge at all. All the mobile ones are unlocked for sure though.

Only problem is i dont think his board has multy adjustment in bios? Might be wrong though

There doesn't seem to be an option in bios anywhere where I can lower the multiplier and there arent any switches on the mobo either... My RAM timings are 2.5-3-3-7, which would be running at "Optimal" in the bios. I've asked other people whether my timings are sufficient and they've said it's fine, so I haven't touched them at all.

Edit: Oh, and my computer seems to be running stably right now at 11.5x175 (2.01ghz), 2.5-3-3-8 ram timings, 42C cpu w/o load, +6% to vcore.

Edit: So I just tried someone from another forum's suggestion (200x11.5, 3-3-3-8 timings, +6% vcore) and the computer seemed to boot bios and windows fine and froze when windows began loading the startup processes. I bumped the vcore to +12% and it turned off before finishing booting windows, so it seems that +12% vcore is too much? Correct me if I'm wrong. Not sure what I can do about stopping the comp from freezing when it hits windows with the above settings.

There is no multy adjustment on the nf7-s2. I was going to get one to use with a mobile but was advised not to as multy would be stuck at x6. There is no soft menu in the nf7-s2 bios

Its maybe just that your chip is capable of running at any speed higher than 175x11.5. Not all chips are good overclockers.

What are you using to test the stability with?

I'm running 190x11.5 right now with the above ram timings (3-3-3-8) and +6% relatively stably. I tried running p95 and it detected a hardware problem around 2 mins into the torture test. My comp ran at around 50C max under load, so temperature doesn't seem to really be an issue. Seeing as how the torture test dies 2 mins in, I'm not sure what to do about stability at this point.

Turns out I can increase the ram voltages by .05v increments, but i raised it from 2.6 to 2.7 and it didn't seem to have any effects on how far windows would load before freezing. I'm trying to see if even running at 11.5x190 is stable. I tried prime95 but it seemed to find a hardware problem after around 2mins.
