overclock ?

Im fixing to build a new pc and was wondering if using the turbo boost overclocking technology does it degrade your pc faster if its overclocked all i want to do is probally just let the automatic overclocker do the job because i know nothing about it. any good guides about it ? I just know that spending 2200 for a new build is a lot for me and I dont want to burn anything out pushing it to hard .

i would read around a bit before dumping $2200 into a build thumb.gif

the turbo boost only goes up to factory speeds unless you change it. for example, if a processor is at 3.2ghz with 3.8ghz turbo boost, it will go up to 3.8ghz if needed. it won't go any higher unless you change it, and it's enabled by default, so no it will not degrade your chip. read around the forums more about overclocking, you will pick it up easily i'm sure.
