If the targets are randomly chosen or everyone in a given area, it is still indiscriminate murder.

If an army decided to kill everyone in a village, it would be consider indiscriminate murder because they did not target a given person for a given reason.

The fact that someone aimed does not make a it a discretionary killing..

Please describe to me what random is. The last time I checked "random" is not possible, as all actions in the universe are causational and not random at all. If everyone in a village is ordered to be murdered, and those in the next one are not, then that would be descriminate and not "random" or "indescriminate", therefore (as usual) your logic has giant flaws in it.

Watch the politics, but my point was that this kind of military tech helps stop the deaths, injury, or property damage of people that just happen to be in the war zone because they happened to live there. With out this sort of thing the civilian death toll in Iraq and Afghanistan would many times what it has been.

My point still stands, as a country we don't give a **** about collateral damage. We feel that we're above it all and yet we still try to take the "morale high ground."

And stray bullets weren't a big killer of civilians anyways, trigger happy soldiers and bombs were.

Go look up the definition of these terms. wink.gif www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_murder

Murder can be both intentional and indiscriminate. A group can intentionally killing a village or ethnicity. This is the intentional extermination of a thing (village, ethnicity, organization, race, etc)... not of a person. Since it is not the murder for the sake of killing a particular person, it is considered indiscriminate.

As for, randomness.... quantum physics states that atomic and sub-atomic can be objectively random. (See: Bell's Theorem) However, randomness is not being used that connotation here.

Heh, I've never understood why some one even needs more than a single shot...at least a bolt action. If your that bad of a shot that you need military grade firearms to hunt than you should never be allowed near a gun.
can someone who has actually fired a gun please post in this thread?

lol... i have smile.gif... i actualy agree with the guy you quoted... i use to hunt deer with 306s... if you are a good shot you dont need the higher call for anything other then distance... i personaly find the people that hunt with massive cliber rifles slightly disappointing... just become a better shot, and it wont be needed (especaly since its a major PITA to go get a kill thats more then a couple hundred yards away)
