That's only because they had issues that affected the tracking negatively (like the acceleration in the ADNS-9500 of the Xai, G9x, G500, Sensei etc.) or they were crippled by the manufacturer, like Razer did with that Dynamic DPI Scaling on their Twin-Eye sensor mice.
A non-crippled Twin-Eye sensor will "feel" the same if not better because of its great consistency and precision, which current optical sensors can only match at up to 800 CPI. Of course I have to mention that using them on soft surfaces can make you pretty frustrated because of the jitter when you click the buttons and that they are susceptible to vibrations (subwoofer, desk fan etc.).
