I ma in the market for an SSD but, I don't want to pay too much for a 128GB drive. I want fast speeds for games but I don't care to say my max speed is .... I just want game performance. Which is good for gaming that won't break the bank? Thanks for your help in advance!

what are you looking to spend? because if you want a 128gb ssd, you can get this, which i'm not personally recommending, but it has awesome reviews and is almost at the $1/GB price point. next up are the more reliable, faster drives like the Mushkin Chronos and the Crucial M4., which I would personally recommend. It's all about what you're really willing to spend.

ehh, gaming wise, it isn't going to really do much except in texture and map loading. You won't get any boost in FPS....maybe just a better constant FPS though.

For the price this is the best imo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148442

I wouldn't call a sandforce drive reliable just yet...and that one uses asynchronous NAND, the M4 uses better synchronous NAND and is by record more reliable.

You're better off using it as an OS drive.

In my build I would not want to spent over 1,100 I would probably break that already with what I want to spend not that much. So, would it be a big deal to move my OS and everything from an HDD to an SSD.

A SSD is soooo worth it it isn't even funny for even normal everyday usage SSDs are way way way better than HDDs.

What is your budget for a SSD?

get a better GPU if you are going to cheap out on an SSD. Not saying you're going to, but if you think about it just get a better GPU or another 7200RPM drive, or some upgrade to your main hardware. At $1100, I would focus about your main system before and SSD. As Sean already mentioned, it won't really help you out in games tongue.gif If you do decide to spend the money, pick up a Crucial M4 for $175. Totally worth it if you have the money.

Sean can confirms if this is correct, moving your OS from a HDD to an SSD can be problematic.. SSD - SSD is straight forward smile.gif
