autocreate links to index.html?

Would there be a way to autocreate links to files in a folder to an index page? I would do it manualy but not with over a few hundred files in it.

you can use the filesystem object and do it in asp or php

php - http://www.laughing-buddha.net/jon/php/dirlist/

asp - http://www.asptutorial.info/sscript/findfiles.asp

just change it so when it out puts it creates an link pointing to the file.
