I'm thinking of buying this? I'm pretty sure you can't SLI a 550 ti with a 470... I was thinking of using the 550 for folding, I heard it does alot to performance, but not exactly sure... Is it worthit buying the 550 ti or just getting a 470 to sli with mine?

Your 470 has 448 cuda cores, the 550 Ti only has 192, so it would actually be a downgrade. If you want a 5 series card with better performance you would need a 570/580/590. Or just get another 470 for SLI.

Figured. Would getting this version of the gtx 470 work with my version? I'm pretty sure SLI will work with any other GTX 470, but this version looks very weird to me, so I just want to make sure i'll be fine.

a gtx470 is pretty much like a under clocked gtx560ti 448core. Though you can overclock the gtx470 to 800 on the core really easy on stock cooler, but will make the card's fan run 100% on load so water cooling is best to keep the noise and heat down.
if you can get the gtx560ti 448core, has better temps and lower power usage.

I did "The Mod" on my current 470, and have it clocked to 815 thumb.gif
