Gaming on one screen but have 3 hooked up lowers fps?

I was wondering if you were to play games on one screen while having 2 others hooked up would it lower the fps or should I disable all but one monitor when i game? I usually like having my extra monitors so i can have skype/ocn open up on one screen and the other one running my games independently.
