I got the top done, and just noticed that there is a chevy logo on the top, wonder if it was on purpose. rolleyes.gif

Well, with a little work on the Dremel, you could make it something better ...

My dremel skills are improving by the day hopefully, Till then I will leave it as is. I plan on getting the 900D once its out, and dedicating my existing build to folding which I'm totally new to.

I'm a new owner if a switch 810. I just finished putting everything together, but when I flipped it back onto its feet it felt a bit wobbly. 2 of the 4 rubber feet are missing! I'm not about to tear it apart to send back to newegg, so does anyone know where I can get these?

Thanks!

I took the entire case apart to get everything in, including the roof in order to mount my EX420 with P-P 140x25 fans. Honestly, it's not too bad at all! Just don't forget to remove the two side panels for the "Stealth ODD Bay" (the top 5.25" bay) as they attach to the top panel.
Once you have it removed, it is incredibly easy to install your rad + fans, and then you simply (and gently) lower it back down onto the top of the case, re-align everything (perhaps the trickiest part...), and screw it back together!
The primary reason I removed the top was to drill mounting holes for the EX420 (15mm spacing indexed off the front), and the process of disassembling the case to remove the top and then replacing the top took about half as much time as the whole measuring (thrice), marking, taping-off, drilling pilot holes, checking, redoing 3-4 pilot holes, checking, drilling full size screw-holes, removing tape, blowing off excess aluminum flakes with 225psi air compressor, wiping it down with a damp rag, drying it, and installing the bottom rad fans to the rad then the rad and top fans to the roof, routing fan wires, etc.
If you're taking the time to remove the top to install fans, I'd recommend also using a dremel or small hole saw (1/8" maybe?) to remove a small section of the plastic top cover right above the hole in the metal case roof (near the mid-line on the "back", i.e. the side that ends behind the MB tray NOT the windowed side), as this will allow you to route the fan wires down and do so very cleanly. On the opposite side from this hole, there is another one that is the perfect size for a "bulkhead" fitting and if you make a similar cut into the plastic top cover (similar to the one for the fan wires), you can easily use this spot for a fill-port mount!
ONE BIG PIECE OF ADVICE: Take a few pictures of EXACTLY how everything is laid out, as I had some difficulty getting the LED's for the HDD/PWR to properly align, which could have been prevented by simply taking a picture. Oh, and I would also consider, if using a radiator, to cut out the cross-braces, or at least some of them, as they block some of the airflow; it's not a huge deal, and I doubt it'd make much if any performance difference, but it MAY reduce fan noise.
Oh, and when you install the fans/rad, I'd use some thin (1/4-1/8 inch) compressible gasket, either the compressible foam type (usually has adhesive on one side) or the compressible rubber type, putting it between the case and the fans, the rad and the case, and the fans and the rad. Not only does it act as a vibration dampener, it also prevents air leaking out.
Here are some pics of the process, hopefully they can be of help to you! Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Thanks for the advice. However, can you go into detail on how you go about drilling those new holes? To me, it seems like there isn't enough space to drill them.

Thanks a bunch. smile.gif

Excuse the phone camera picture, but it's starting to come together!

Just need to wait on another fan for the radiator that didn't come with my order, and more tubing.
I could be leak testing by the start of next week thumb.gif
