I have a Rampage III Extreme MB in this awesome case. I'm having trouble getting the FRONT USB ports to work. Well in fact they don't work at all.
Anyone have any trouble with this before? I've checked my layout on my MB to make sure "I'm not doing it wrong" and all seems to check out?
Would any post a photo of the proper connectors on the MB with the proper case cable to make them function?

Are you talking the USB 2.0 ports, or the USB 3.0 ports? Or both?
Sorry, I should have mentioned that.

Just the USB 2.0 ports on the front. As far as I know the RE3 doesn't have USB 3.0 support for the front?

I had to enable the USB headers in my BIOS on my Gigabyte board. You might start there.

This should help you out: http://www.directron.com/installusb.html

It sounds like your USB headers may be plugged in upside down (they won't work that way). I'm not sure on the Rampage III, but there MIGHT be an option in the bios to enable/disable USB 2.0. But I'm betting the header is plugged in upside down. Try unplugging and replugging it in by turning the header 180 degrees.

Want to get your views on a couple of fans I have in mind and trying to narrow it down, reviews haven't been of much help.

Deepcool UF - Ball bearing, 1500 RPM (Looks awesome)
Deepcool Ice Blade - Hydro Bearing, 1500 RPM
Arctic Cooling Arctic F12 - Fluid Dynamic Bearing, 1500 RPM
Zalman ZM-F3 FBD - Fluid Dynamic Bearing, 1500 RPM

Stronger fans that looks decent is the Zalman ZM-F3 1800 RPM but its a sleeve bearing, can paint it white or w/e colour I want. There is also the Coolermaster R4-S2B-124K-GP that uses a double ball bearing but rated at only 1350 RPM.

Keep in mind my choices are very limited.

What's HDD vibration? tongue.gif I haven't heard anything from my VelociRaptor (10,000 RPM).
I see someone has been emailing almost as much as me tongue.gif I'm up to EKWB, FrozenQ, NZXT (kind of, just some fans, lol), and Monsoon thumb.gif
I'm excited to see what you do this time around.
You just have to ask them at the right time with a professional attitude and have some kind of experience (i.e. buildlogs, community standing, etc.). The beginning of the year is prime sponsorship time because they get an allotted amount of money each year for sponsoring and that's reset at the beginning smile.gif
You didn't tell me tongue.gif This will be another top notch build log.
I have orange and black... So does Scorpion49 tongue.gif (I technically also have red because of the mobo, lolz)
Do it.
Yes. Talk to Retell and see what he can do thumb.gif
Subbed.
Yes.
Thank God, I can finally see what those look like in here thumb.gif
thinking.gif Sounds like I gotta talk to my electrical engineer father, lol.
Yep.
Its whatever you want. Just a bunch of pics, explanations, jokes, whatever you think explains what you're doing or want to do.
Case Mod section, water cooling section (if applicable), or something similar.
Lol, we keep losing people to cars and other expenses tongue.gif That sounds like an awesome theme, sell that car...
And yes, I did just quote like 15 people, lol.

Wall of quotes FTW! biggrin.gif
