Where did you mount them in the Switch 810 (back edge, front edge, top of case, bottom, etc)?
Where did you get them from (Performance-PCS, Sidewinder, FrozenCPU, auto parts store)?

I know I want to add in case lighting, and I was thinking about going with a USB controlled LED strip that you can pick the intensity and color and change it at any time, but at $60 a strip, that might get pretty pricey. Since my build will mainly be gray, black and orange, I'm not sure I really need the ability to have pink or green or blue lights. Even if I did, I've seen LED strips that can change colors and intensity with a wireless remote control, maybe that will be the best. Or maybe I should just to with white LEDs (or maybe orange?) that I can change the intensity on.

Any help / suggestions would be appreciated.

I got hitlights in blue, 5meters of it, cut them to length, soldered the wiring together, intricately placed the strips so that it covers the entire 810, and BOOM, LEDs for less than $20.

That's VERY similar to my original setup, but I found that it was too much of a PITA to keep the pump mounted directly to the bottom of the tube res, so I added a single bay res and attached the pump to that (keeping the tube res as well).

Also, if you can do push-pull, ALWAYS go for it! The added noise is negligible, and completely worth the extra performance (plus, you can run P/P fans at a lower speed and still get better performance than just one set of fans).

Also, you may want to consider the Phobya 120/140x7mm Shrouds/Decouplers, as they seem to work extremely well with the Alphacool and XSPC EX radiators smile.gif

I've used many in the past, all have pluses and minuses

Cathode: I found that the brightness level would degrade over time, though I like the soft light coming from it. Though the color isn't really accurate ie the red isnt that red
LED Strip custom made: too bright , eye sore
NZXT LED strip: Not bright enough in my opinion and I have to get the 2m one, run it around the side window and continue the rest of it around the motherboard at the back. Still found it not bright enough especially if you have a crowded components inside the case

for my next update I've bought a 5M outdoor RGB LED with remote control which can be controlled at 5 brightness level and some rocking settings biggrin.gif and guess what it only cost me 25$!

Those LEDs do work great, I say why not make your own custom LED lighting solution, given it will take time, but pretty sure it will look good as you can control what parts to illuminate and what don't. I plan on doing that for my present build "Fallout Shelter" using an ITX case.

...and as for the res and pump i wanted to get the tube with the pump attached..are those not good? if not then i will just go for either this one

or this one

what do u guys think

Ramsey77 set up a pretty nice guide and at the very least you'll get a good idea of what you'll be working with if you decide to go the custom LED route.
