That would allow the fan to sit up off the back of the CPU Socket, but also not short anything; also, the threaded rods would give a way of adjusting the angle of the fan.

I don't think I need a hole in the side panel, as a fan would at least be moving air around which would eventually be replaced by cooler air....

I think you're right. The sidepanel itself would probably cool down the air enough. I was thinking a little bit to far away maybe. But cutting a bit of the mobo tray would still be good I guess. Cannot imagine that the case provides enough space for L-shaped or double L-shaped copper plate + heatsink + fan. Sounds like alot of stuff on ~3cm of room smile.gif

Edit: still don't understand completely how you gonna fasten that fan. Threaded rods with rubber feet sounds fine but do you want to glue it? I would be surprised if so biggrin.gif

Let me explain it for you:

He ment that it maybe could have been the wrong decision to buy titans due to the lack of SLI driver support from nvidia which has been mentioned earlier in this thread. But he would be very surprised because nvidia supported all their SLI products very well until now and it would have been the first time for many years if this will not be the case with the GTX Titan.

Did I get it right Master Freez? biggrin.gif

Edit:

And just for to say something to this Titans vs no Titans discussion:
Are we not all spending a lot of money for stuff which is strong said "unnecessary at all" ? I guess yes. And why are we doing this? Because it's fun!
This is just like: Hey what do you need 350HP car for? Nobody needs it but it's awesome fun to drive smile.gif
Guinner likes to have Titans and has the the money to by them. So why the hell not? It doesn't matter if it makes sence or not, it doesn't matter which CPU he is running with that cards. The only point is he wanted Titans he bought Titans and he is happy with them. End of story wink.gif

Thank you for clarifying the first part and I completely agree with the second part. Hobbies, at their core, are a complete and total waste of money. I have several high dollar shotguns that each easily go over $10,000. When trapshooting I dont shoot much better than I would with a $500 shotgun. However, I still love my $10,000 shotguns and wouldn't ever give them up. I get enjoyment out of owning nice things and taking care of them. This past week was the most fun I ever had. Each day I came home from work and there were stacks of boxes on my front porch. Now, I have that little kid anticipation waiting for the rest of the parts.

You just wasted yours on some kick a$$ GPU's.

Agreed. Lets be honest with ourselves, anything over about $600 for a gaming pc can be considered a waste of money.

Hey XNine,

I tried to pm you but didn't get an answer, so I think your or our pm-system is still not working like it should smile.gif
Do you know if my sidepanel is on the way? I think it would take some time anyway to get it shipped to Norway, just wanted to make sure that I don't be forgotten rolleyes.gif

Let me know if you get an answer from him, I've been waiting on a revised top panel for 2 months now, not like I'm in a rush to get it but it's taking a good amount of time, plus I haven't heard from him for 2 weeks.

Fair enough. I have spent so much money on my car that I refuse to think about it, but taking a sweeper at 110mph at Mid-Ohio and keeping up with the 911 GT3 RS's and the like is oh-so-worth-it. I used to do a LOT of competitive shooting (needed a break), specifically 3-Gun, and "Tactical Pistol", "Tactical Rifle", "Long-Range Rifle" (not bench-rest), etc.

So I completely understand the whole "spending money on your hobbies" thing.

The only point I was trying to make is that A) the argument that the Titans will get better via drivers is not a good argument in favor of purchasing them, and B) I personally would love to have them, but I couldn't ever justify the money because unlike the firearms world or the automotive world, they will be overshadowed within a year.

I apologize if you took my post as hostile, it was never intended to be.

No prob. I agree that drivers wony make great improvements with the Titan, however, a modded bios could help a ton. People are working on it, and a modded bios could truly awaken the Titan. It may never happen, but if it does we would see some significant improvements.
Tonky Yes, you are totally right! Thank you for the clarifying my words biggrin.gif I personnaly hope that Titan will be almost the same as 880 next year. So if new chip will not be two times better, which also didn't happend for years, it will be +/- nice investment for any gamer.

nleksan You are totally right too! Titan, even with almost the same specs on the paper now as the future GTX880, can go deep down after one year....and the car or gun will not. For car internals we can order or make restyling, put some new hardware, change the things and rule it for the next 10 years maybe. I personally even don't have a driver license now rolleyes.gifbiggrin.gif, but i know what you are talking about.I personally really like the Range Rover Evogue and it's probably will be possible for me in the future to buy it and pay the insurance...not sure. Also....about the guns....and cold weapons....i'd like to buy two black stunning looking tomahawks for my wall biggrin.gif And for some enexpected situations with the guests bruce.gif

I was looking to buy some things from the marketplace, anyone know how safe it is, so far as purchase protection goes?

just got the matte black case today, looks so awesome. I am doing a full loop and I am a noob just got a question. I am mounting 240 rad on the bottom and 360 on the top.in push/pull configuration. How should the fans be facing. Is it like this for the bottom rad or the other way around?

Also how should the fans be facing in the top rad. Thanks.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Depends on which you want as an intake/exhaust. Most people use the bottom as input (cooler air) and top as exhaust.

The fans should have arrows on the side indicating fin movement and air flow. If you want to do as I suggested above, all airflow arrows would point up.

Edit: I see you still have the radiator caps on. I'd suggest you give the radiators a good flush in the sink before mounting permanently. Obviously you'd want to do that with out the fans attached.
