Thanks. No I didn't build it. It's a Dwood pedestal that I bought in the forum classifieds.

I had posted this yesterday in the water cooling forums without much luck so thought I would try here since it's more switch 810 related. I am looking for advice out of these two parts. Will they mount easily, which one would look better, etc. Currently I am using a XSPC bay res with D5 pump but I am finding it is rather annoying plus it just doesn't look as good as a tube! I am thinking I will remove the bay res, move the hard drives from the bottom cage and mount them in my 5.25 bays. Remove the bottom cage then put a tube/pump in.

I have two ideas.... I just wanted some input .Thanks!

I will just give prices in USD even though its really Korean won, makes everyone's life easier but its really $.94/1000w

1) Bitspower Tube/Mod Kit $120
My only concern with this is where am I going to mount it. I could move my bottom 240 to intake from the front of my case and mount it on the bottom. I had kind of wanted to keep those front fans as fresh intake air but whatever. Will it mount on the bottom easily?

2) XSPC Photon 170 Combo $199
This isn't much more than the Bitspower and I get another D5! Then I can keep the bay res/pump together for my wife's build I want to start working on soon or just sell it. Will this easily mount on the back tray of the case? or will I need to drill holes?

I think you'll have to drill holes.

After taking in someone's comment about the ek uni holders I've managed to mount the res/pump but im not sure if it's going to be secure enough to hold itself and liquid here's some pictures, does it need more security? It feels strong enough but wobbles also

That doesn't look firm frown.gif

Can you attach one of the holders against the motherboard holes? I have another idea to mount the uni holder, but it's more complex...

I am considering a new (custom watercooling) build and looking for a case. I currently have the white Switch 810, and I would consider getting another one of these because I like it so much. But I am curious about something. A while back, there was talk of the "special editions" having cutouts in the top optical bay floor (to allow for airflow for the front fan in the roof) See this video at the 15:25 mark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzOmedDm7Uk.

Can anybody tell me if those cutouts were ever implemented into the white version of the Switch 810?

I believe that the changes were limited to the gun metal gray and matte black models - which were released as SE cases, but I could be wrong. Check with the factory rep - Retell - pm him.

You might be able to track down the changes and models affected using the Search This Thread tool.

Any chance someone is still making pedestals?
Or interested in selling one?
