Just bought the NZXT sentry 2 fan controller. Can't wait to see this thing in my case.

Hi guys,

I have a few quick questions as I'm looking to change cases in order to make room for some WC gear and have been recommended the Switch 810 by several people.

1. Can the bottom HDD tray be moved to where the 5.25" drive bays are if I remove the hotswap bay? I currently have 4 HDD + 1 SSD so I would need to make use of both HDD trays to mount all my drives. I ask as I am planning on WCing some more powerful cards down the road and may need to add an additional rad to my loop.

2. I have typically stuck with mid-sized cases, and this will be my first bigger case. I currently have the NZXT Hale90 1000W PSU and I am wondering if I would need to find some PSU extensions for the CPU power cord to reach.

3. Is there someone I can contact to purchase additional NZXT fans to round out the spaces where fans aren't included for my case? I don't know of any local dealer or distributor here in HK as of yet.

Thanks!

1. The cage will fit 3 HDD and then you have the hot swap which could be your 4th. Just figure out where to mount your SSD and you would be all set without the bottom cage.

2. I have the same power supply and did not need any extensions.

3. NZXT sells them on their website. http://store.nzxt.com/category_s/28.htm

As you can see in the pic, I mounted my Intel 520 SSD just to the right of the motherboard, on the motherboard tray itself. Worked out nicely there.. thumb.gif

Thanks Mike. They're great fans I switched from coolermaster R4s and they're so much quieter/more powerful. Found them on ebay in 4-packs for a great deal thumb.gif

Looking to get some GT AP-14 or AP-15's for my RX360 rad going into my Switch 810. Not really sure which one. I know the AP-15 is higher RPM, making it a bit louder, but is the performance between the 2 fans really a big difference? Bottom line, is there really a noticeable difference between the 2 fans? And if there is another fan out there someone would recommend besides the GT's, please give me your opinions! smile.gif

Thanks!

Thanks!

I am getting some more AP-15s since I already have 5. The reason I went with those over the AP-14 to begin with is: I can always lower their speed to 1450 RPM, but I can't increase the AP-14 t o1850. biggrin.gif
This is all assuming you plan to use a fan controller though.
