I would say either make the UV tubes hidden (so you only see the effect) or switch to red. If you get red lighting I might buy your UV lighting off you tongue.gif

Okay, next question. Red and white tubing with white LED or Red and black tubing with White LED?

Okay, I ordered the white NZXT led strand kit. I also ordered white tubing.

Should I go all white, which looks sharp or white and red tubing? Not sure how that would look.

I really like white LED after seeing the ones that are on the back of this case. I think they will look great on the inside lighting up everything in the color tone it is meant to be in. The glowing orange tubes are cool and all, but it does not match my theme... I saw a black optimus prime once. He was black, white and red and looked really cool. That is what I am going off of. I think it was some figure or something. Want to do custom paint eventually, but have a lot to learn before attempting that. For no, I will focus on making the inside what I want.

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a dilemma here. I heard a rumor on another forum that Asus wasn't even planning on releasing a Maximus V Extreme, and if they were, it wouldn't be till well past june. So my question is, do I wait and see, get the Max V Formula, or go for an ASRock Extreme9 or Fatal1ty board?
I don't want any blue, I have a red/black white theme, but the extreme9 is fine cause it's all black.. I just want the bets quality, high performance board I can get.
Thanks

Okay, tried asking this in a couple of fan controller threads. Apparently, my questions did not warrant an answer.
Got the NZXT Sentry 2. This has 5 channels @ 10 watts per channel. My fans all run 4 watts max. Planning on running 2 fans per header. That okay? Also, where the crap should I be putting the temp probes? No one better say "your a$$" either.... LOL. Okay, anyway, only logical place I could think of would be right on the CPU and GPU blocks. It does not seem that this will give the most accurate reading, but I am not sure.
Any ideas?

You should be okay running two fans off of each channel as long as they aren't some kind of quasi-super fan that requires 25 watts.

As for the temp probes, you know where they can go! wink.gifbiggrin.giftongue.gif Anywhere! I have several temp probes for my Aquaero and I usually disperse them in "zones." So say I have two fans in one area, I put a probe within that area to show how the fans are cooling that area in case I need to up their speed. I have 4 zones throughout the case so I can monitor temps through the entire case.

I have had really good experiences with Asrock boards. They are solid boards, and often come with quite a few accessories. I just bought the Extreme 6/GB board, and for 275 it came with a Creative Soundblaster card, and reviews of the board have been favorable. I love the color scheme on Asrock's Extreme boards as well.

How do asrock board overclock? That's why I wanted the extreme, because I heard that the asus extreme is a great overclocker. I want a board with very good overclocking ability. Also, how is the bios on their boards? That was the only complaint I've heard about them browsing the forums.

I ordered the fatality z68 board. I have read that it OC's well. IT uses the uefi bios, or what evere it is. I had before and it was great. However, it was an open box from newegg and the bios was buggy. I even updated it and it did nothing. I sent that one back. Now my asus took a dump and I ordered another asrock in the hopes that the other board was defective.
