Small BCLK fluctuations like that are normal with SB/SB-E. If it bothers you, finding another platform will be easier than making it stop. I would worry more about the multi dropping on you, have you turned up the maximum current/wattage? It may be throttling to stay under the wattage limit.

Never seen that happen with the ASUS P8Z68-V/Gen3.

You probably weren't looking for it. All SB do that, its not a matter of the board. The BCLK generator is built into the chip and is much more susceptible to small fluctuation than it was on previous sockets.

Damn. Now I don't know if I want an asrock at all...
I REALLY want an asus z77 Maximus V Extreme, but I didn't see one announced and hear they may not release one. I don't really like the Formula version that much..

I know that I sat and stared at it for some time while stressing it and I never saw the OC come off of 4.5. The bclock fluctuates, but the here, the multiplier is what is fluctuating. The bclock stays between 98 and 100. The multi, while set at 44 keeps going down to 42 or 41. That is what I have never seen before.

Ah yeah, multi fluctuation is bad stuff, BCLK should be fine as long as it isn't like 5mhz jumps. Does the board have a setting for wattage/current limit? For example, my CPU throttles from 44x to 42-43x if I leave the wattage limit at 200w, if I bring it up to 300w I can go much higher with no issues.

Yes, it is set at 150. Wonder if that is my whole problem. I think I had that set to 350 on my Asus board. I was wondering if that was the same setting or not. I could not find where anyone was making adjustments.

I would give it a try. I only briefly had an ASRock 1155 board and I can't remember OC'ing it at all.

Hmm, I was thinking white/black/light blue as color theme but I cannot find light blue extension cables that fits whit my Lamptronic 206
The color is like that, cyan or light blue or whatever you call it.
(Sorry for the image, I couldnt take the colors right with my camera, so cropped old photo and little photoshopped it)

I saw these http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_9186.html but they are little bit too dark. This http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_8675.html looks like the color I want but you can see through that braid and there is no ATX24 extension frown.gif

Anybody know good place to get these extensions? or manufacturer?

I love the Fatal1ty board but am getting rather sick of changing out the same board every couple months.Honestly great boards but thinking of going with a board that stays a little more steady for my next board. Rather then have to buy a new motherboard every 3 months to have the same board. They should have waited till they had it right and released one Fatality board for 1155 not 3 same boards with little changes.Great board but for that one reason only it may be my last AsRock board. Will probably go back to Asus on my next build. Unfortunately .
But yeah i Love the Fatal1ty board and they are great solid overclocks.Just not really sure about the Z77 one yet. It does take ram up to 2800mhz vs 2133 but still has the same 2 Pci e 3.0 slots. It does have a better Power Phase though.
Anyway here they both are:
