If you can help me fix the issue I'll post pictures. I turn the computer on, wait a few seconds and then the dram light comes on and doesn't go away. I have tried the memok! button but nothing happens. It's an ASUS M5A97 motherboard.

This is due to the water incident? Have you tried pulling out RAM and using 1 stick in each slot? You may have a bad slot on the MOBO or a bad stick of RAM. Forgive me if you have already answered those questions. At work and do not have time to look at past posts....

Hey guys thanks all for the concern.

For the record Retell is taking care of me on this and is sending me out replacements for the damaged parts soon!

I sure am glad that I found OCN and NZXT's amazing support on here!

Got my Switch 810 in White today, over the Phantom. Now lets hope the watercool build goes well. Too bad the new tubings I've ordered won't be here until next week.

I did read somewhere that this exterior finish is a dust magnet, what you guys think?

Its not too bad, mostly on the top because its pulling air in there. Compared to my Razer keyboard, not dusty at all biggrin.gif

It could be due to the water incident... I know for sure that the memory is working correctly and is compatible with the motherboard. I have tried just one stick of ram and have tried this in each ram slot with no success. One odd thing I noticed is the dram light acts the same whether ram is in or not so I assume the ram portion of the board may be permanently damaged... hopefully not. If someone can find a fix for this without requiring me replacing my motherboard I have some monsoon compression fittings to make their time worthwhile. wink.gif

Grats on the 810! Take it slow on that mobo spill.. Make sure that is DRY. smile.gif

Couple of things you can check, just troubleshooting options..

  • Double check that your 8-pin cpu (12v ATX) power connector is fully inserted. Ran into this issue myself once
  • Check that your MB standoffs are in the right spots. One wrong placement of a standoff can short out/ground out the MB. Or that nothing is underneath the MB that maybe shorting it out
  • Make sure everything is seated correctly. RAM, GPU's, all other power connections included the CPU fan header. Some boards will not post if fan header is not fully seated. Mainly to prevent the CPU from cooking itself.
  • Try to reseat the CPU
  • Try resetting/clear the CMOS
  • Check to be sure the BIOS chip is fully inserted in it's socket
  • Flash the BIOS - If this is a new mobo and CPU, BIOS may need to be updated to support the CPU.

Not sure if you've tried any or all of these things, but it's worth a try.

Also, Have you ever had this board up and running with it's current CPU and PSU? Is it a new motherboard? What CPU and PSU are you using?

Hope you get her running! smile.gif

Check the things mentioned from antykain's post. Then, let us know from there.
