Oh buddy I get lost on these forums for hours.. was just kicking through the Switch thread, I am starting up a new rig build.. once parts are in I will convert my thread to an actual log..

For now though, going with a Switch, love the looks and I think with a little modding it could be great for my setup. Few questions to bounce off someone who has watercooled with this case...

First my build (pending)
i7-3930k in a Sabertooth x79 with an undecided cpu block
GTX680 with an undecided gpu block
Corsair AX850 psu
(just to give an idea of what will be in there)

So I am thinking of putting an XSPC RX360 Rad in the top of the case and a smaller rad mounted vertically up front..
For this.. from what I see i will need to cut out 2" or so off the back of that plastic piece in the top of the optical bay track (confirmation?)

I figure I will fit an optical bay Res with an internal pump in one of the bays, remove the harddrive cages, and put my HDD and SSD in the optical bay as well..

Does that sound right to the more knowledgable individual out there? If you can picture it (which I currently cannot without hands on the case.. would that also give me room for an optical drive or would I be full at that point? (either way not a deal breaker, just trying to picture..)

The case is quite large but once you start cramming radiators in there, your drive support quickly becomes limited..

thanks!

you shud mount a 240 or 120 on the bottom, so you keep a drive cage.
and the peice on top is removable for 360 RADS

They do.... it's just limited to Enzotech fittings.

It really is hard to get what you need for Watercooling. I went through a total of 5 different etailers to get my loop together. FIVE. Ridiculous.

Yo guys. i ordered an NZXT fan for my case from frozen cpu, its broken on arrival.
i talked to them and i am not very happy with thier customer service at all.
They said i could
a) ship it back to them and they would take care of rma by themselves, and send me a new fan immediately.
or
b) take it up with nzxt personally.
my problem with this is that if i pay to ship it to them it will probably cost me more than half the price of the fan...
would this be the same if i did an nzxt rma?
would i have to pay to ship back a broken item...?

Because the is the retail product, we would require you ship it back to us as well unfortunately. I might be able to get a return shipping label for you though, not positive.

The following statement is made on a personal level and not that of an NZXT employee: If I bought a product that arrived from the retailer I would raise all sorts of hell to have it taken care of.

I was looking forward to using them as I dont have much lighting in my room and I was just wondering if anyone else had a problem with theirs? Also should I contact newegg or nzxt about replacement?
Sorry for the bad pic but heres a pic of my rig biggrin.gif (nothing special unless your me tongue.gif)

i mean i know its only a freakin fan. 8.99, but to ship that back it would prob cost ATLEAST 4 dollars.
for a broken fan... i dont think so...

That is just wrong! They are selling broken stuff so then you should be able to get new one or cancel your trade without surcharge.

When you plug in the sata cord do you also need to have ahci enabled (reg. hdd not ssd) or it doesnt matter? I read somewhere that you need ahci to be enabled if you want to use your external hdd on that port without having to reboot.

The SATA cord is just a method for powering the LED on the back of the case. As for the hot swap bay, I think ACHI does support hot swap. You should have that enabled anyway if all of your devices are SATA.
