Now in the process of choosing parts for a new loop. may just go with an xspc kit....They're sooooo cheap compared to customizing, only thing is i really don't like the bay res/pump

get the RX360 raystorm extreme kit if you're going to go kit. includes a D5 pump, raystorm, and compression fittings.

Shop around for prices, I found that frozencpu didn't let me customize my fitting size for the kit (i needed 3/8 x 5/8) but performance-pcs did. However, there was an option frozencpu had that ppcs didn't.. cant remember now. Just don't get locked in to one site is all I'm saying

and then in addition
RX240, Primochill 10'ft, fittings for 240, and the thermal paste.
I hear good things about the Raystorm, I suppose I am open to mixing and matching.. anyone had experiences in what ends up being cheaper? (or conversely, more expensive, but I can snag a better part or two, pump/res for instance)
EDIT: for now, I opted to choose my own fans (for the kit) so that knocks off 20 bucks or so.. and I also was planning on going with the Noctua's from frozencpu

Looks good! Accept it's from frozen CPU!

Yeah, performance PC allows your choose the color of the compression fittings, more color choices of tubing. tubing SIZE just to name a few. I was using Frozen CPU for awhile until someone on here mentioned Performance-PCs. Great website!

When I started gettin stuff that's not on newegg I used ppcs, hated the shipping costs but what are you going to do. Just recently I tried out fcpu, and I will never use them again! I've had a problem with an order from each place and ppcs handled it like a business should, where as fcpu handled it like a bunch of stubborn children

Guys, check out this site www.sidewidewindercomputers.com. Prices are good. Selection is okay. Customer service is great. I had to cancel an order. I called and did not get through, because they were on the other line. Sent an email right after that, and it was canceled in 2 minutes and refunded to PP. They sent an email that was not a canned response. Then, I had to order something else, they had it packed and shipped with in an hour and I got it 2 days later. I was shocked. Now, everything I order from them, I get an email thanking me again for my purchases. It is like they know me know. LOL. Anyway, small outfit that really care about their customers. At least until they get too big..

I've had very fast shipping and an excellent customer service experience with Gary at Sidewinder.

First i would like to know if there is a huge difference in cooling performance in between the RX360 vs RX240 radiators. I ask this because i do not want to run a triple fan radiator and was wondering with those who have a lot of experience in WC if using the RX240 is sufficient enough to cool an overclocked i5 2500k. My 2500k runs at 4.5ghz,36c idle, 60c while playing BF3 or benchmarking. I would like to go to 4.8-5.0 ghz with it. I just want to know if a 2 fan radiator is enough to cool my cpu.
My plan is to run 2 RX240's one for the cpu the other for my gpu. Inputs please.....oh and since i know i will get this question a few times about my climate, my ambient room temp is between 78F-90F, i live in Hawaii smile.gif .

You will absolutely be fine with 2 RX240. I was running the RS240 on my 2500k with 4.8 OC at 1.488 volts 24\7. Temps sat at 26 - 30 idle and 50 - 55 max load in prime 95 using custom blend and 90percent of RAM.

When you throw in a gpu or 2 another RX 240 will def handle it.

I agree. Good guy there. they ran out of bottles for PT Nuke so had a delay. they apologized in an e-mail for that and still had the product to me in decent time. Prices are amazing for many things to boot thumb.gif

Performance-PCS also had great customer service for my first foray into water cooling. Had the wrong tubes and cutter. E-mailed sales and they changed it with no issues.
