Next day, someone on EVGA put em BRAND NEW online for $70, I cancelled original order and got em for $70 thumb.gif

The thing I hate about a lot of these companies who sell presleeved items is all the heatshrink they use. They would be much better with half.

Theyd be fine with none lol. It's definitely a lot of heat shrink, but it's not a huge deal to me, I think the red will pop with the white case. Besides 70$ is a good deal in my book

For sure. They don't look bad, they'd just look a whole lot better if Corsair put a little more effort into them. Even making the heatshrink EVEN would be a good start.

Yeah. It would definitely improve the look a lot if they made it even lol. I don't mind much for my application only because most of my cables will be behind the tray or I have extensions custom sleeved for them. Can't wait to start this lol

Trimming some of the excess heatshrink from the Corsair Sleeved cables is easy to do.. And needed IMO. But, it's also my opinion, that we as customers, should not be having to take such steps to make the cables look decent. The sleeved cables to look a bit 'rushed'.. I really do like the cables a lot, being FULL replacement cables for the stock ones that come with the Corsair HX and AX PSU's, and not extensions.

How do you trim it? Razor and patience? And then just peel it off?
Also, I have a question for those that know about these cables. I can't tell of mine are bad or not:
The 24pin mobo connection has one of the wires routed into a corner pin, leaving a pin in the middle empty. Is that normal? There are two wires going into one corner pin, and an empty middle pin.

One of the pins should definately be missing in the 24 pin. There are several pins in the 24 pin that have 2 cables crimped by 1 pin. I don't have a diagram or list as to which positions these are, but it should be normal.

Ok good lol. I was nervous there for a second

The reason I've decided for the excess amount of heatshrink is to make sure they never come out of the shrink. It is certainly excessive, but having sleeved my own cables, heatshrink is a nightmare.

The 24pin standard has a blank pin in the middle. The ones that have double pins are probably power cables to provide extra current if needed.
