you just "quick disconnect it" and the pul off the connector and drain. but what he said is an even better idea!

That sounds like a bad ass idea. Can I see a couple of pics of this? Curious as to how you have it hooked up.

I do something similar, but when I swing mine out, I don't hook it up to another connector with a tube to drain...don't any any extras like that. I just take the connector off all together and it drains.

Those are big. Not sure it will really fit on my line from the bottom gpu to the rad.

Ahh yes, I just checked your log, you're looking to come off the bottom card and straight into the 240 rad?

sorry, I cant actually get pics of it since I'm not at home till the end of the semester, but I can show you what I mean with existing pics:

(sorry its a phone pic)

So the QDC fitting is on the bottom, above my PSU (big silver thing)
You can kind of make out the rotary if you look at the bottom of the res.

What happens is;
  1. I shut it all off, and disconnect the QDCs.
  2. Using the rotary on the res., I swing the entire section of tubing out of the case.
  3. Now look at that the tubing connected to the pump. I have exactly that same section of tubing, except it is not connected to anything, its just lying in my desk drawer.
  4. The separate tube pice is connected to a MALE QDC.
  5. The part that swings out is FEMALE
  6. I connect those 2 QDCs
  7. Water begins to flow out again, draining the loop

I was looking to do something similar with a Bitspower Quick Disconnect, but I can't seem to find anything discussing how it works.

^^ I dont think those are QDCs. I think they just direct connect 2 things together.
