Does anyone else that is using the Monsoon Free Center fittings feel that they are a bit cheap? I've always used bitspower and they are very sturdy and solid feeling, where the Monsoon fittings feel very lightweight. Should you be able to screw them all the way down? I remember with the BP fittings it was almost impossible to screw them completely to the base (and you werent supposed to), but with the Monsoon, I have no issues hand tightening them down. The tube feels secure, but it makes me wonder if they are supposed to do this.
On a positive note, the 3/8ID 5/8OD tube is the easiest tube to route I have ever worked with. I would recommend it to anyone looking to try water cooling. I found the 1/2ID 3/4OD to be too thick.

for the 1/2 id 3/4 they were definitely tight. at least with primochill tubing. it was a pain to screw the compression all the way in but it went all the way through using the tool.

I dunno. They look fine to me. Granted I haven't seen the BP compressions, but compared to the BP angle adaptors, I'd say the finish is the same, and the weight is about the same too.

Any pics of your rig? I saw a couple by clicking on your sig, but wasnt sure if you had more. I would be interested in seeing how far you screwed yours down.

On another note, I think I hate the primochill tubing. I am hoping more for a royal blue, and it is definately not that. I may switch to white.

I used Tygon 1/2 x 3/4 tubing with my Monsoons, and to say the least, they were a real pain in the ass to install versus Bitspower fittings. I've never had an issue tearing my hands up on BP fittings (which a lot of people complain about, and I'm not sure why.) It was hard on several fittings, especially if there's ANY kind of bend whatsoever in the tube, to get them screwed down. You essentially HAVE to have them screwed down ALL the way for them to be effective or they will leak (at least, they did for me).

I think they look better than BP fittings, but the installation is iritating, especially in cramped areas.

Do they work? Absolutely.

I haven't gotten far enough to screw down all of my fittings, but I did do it on the XSPC bay res and they went down really easy. The problem with the BP fittings is their diamond finish makes them difficult to screw down without wearing gloves. I am considering selling my monsoons and buying bitspowers, but I haven't decided if that would be wasteful yet smile.gif

The pics are in my build log. I don't think I have an up close shot of the fittings but can take a pic later after work. They're tightened all the way through. don't think the O-ring is showing

I saw the ones there, but that last one does. If you look at some rigs with bitspower fittings, you can see a gap.
