Yea those new crossflow rads look good, saw them in the water cooling thread. I don't think the current rads really "clutter" up a case though.

Hey guys, I am going to watercool my switch 810. This is going to be my first time going water so I am still learning. Can someone please look over my parts list and routing and let me know if its all good to go?

@MaDeuce50 Unless you plan on modifying the 5.25 drive bay you will need to flip the inlet and outlet of your 360 radiator to the rear of the case.

Your compression and tubing might be a bit off, but I could be wrong. I thought people usually used the same sized ID and OD for both.

YOU HAVE THAT PROBLEM TOO!!? God I thought i was gonna kill myself, good thing it's not only my unit. I mean the rad is nice but there is no possible way to screw all 4 screws! What have you done to suffice? Mount diagonal holes?

Flip your rad so the fittings is towards the rear. The metal plate on the optical drive bay, will block the fittings.

Are all of my tubings and barbs compatible? From what I researched, a 7/16" ID x 5/8" OD tubing uses a 1/2" ID x 5/8" OD barbs correct? Also, everything seems like they are 1/4" threaded. I just want to make sure everything fits before I make the order.

yup. 7/16 is very fine for 1/2 barbs. just dip the ends of the tubes in very hot/boiling distilled water for about 20 seconds then insert in the barb.

barbs are different than compression. the compressions have smaller barbs but also has a better looking "clamp"

also, have you looked into Mayhems dyes + distilled for the UV green you want?

for compression fittings, it's best to use the same ID/OD for both the tubing and fittings. If not, the tubing may not get 'compressed' properly which may lead to leaks

Hey I just realized you have the motherboard I almost bought, nice

The outside diameter of the tubing is irrelevant when working with barbs. If they are 1/2" barbs, you can use standard 1/2" ID x 3/4" OD tubing, or 1/2" ID x 5/8" OD, which ever would work. Really the only reason people use the smaller 7/16" ID tubing with 1/2" barbs is when people want to go with that "clampless" look, looks cleaner. The tubing is so tight over that barb that you don't need clamps. But if you are using 1/2" tubing with 1/2" barbs, play is safe and use a clamp.
