He says it cannot fit push/pull with 60mm rad, but I've done it with a 65mm rad so I am not sure what the issue is.

1: I don't really like that guy for some reason. He's very slightly annoying, to me anyway. rolleyes.gif

2: Are the matte black shades really that different? I would hate to order it (and that's the one that's calling my name) and experience the vast difference in shades the video shows and the reviewer mentions.....excessively. proof.gif

He actually goes into the case and shows exactly what he's talking about being the blockage. He does mention motherboard clearance issues but he's mainly concerned with the optical bay floor pan. Which honestly doesn't look like an issue at all. At the very most a pair of tin snips or the trusty Dremel. Hell, if it were me, I'd Just drill fan holes all around the pan and call it a day. Too easy of a fix to call it a real issue. 2cents.gif

Every time I look at this thread, I feel my wallet start to cry... Seriously, some creative, beautiful, straight-up AMAZING builds in here! Inspiration abounds!

I got this case knowing I wanted to water cool, but looking at all of the ridiculous (in a good way) builds, I have been struggling with getting my parts list together! Initially it was 3770K + P8Z77 Deluxe/Premium/ROG MVF but now I am thinking a lot more towards a 3930K + RIVE... Especially with Kepler having launched, and the 670's looking mighty tasty; although I have heard nothing about water blocks for the cards, which is disappointing as I'd much rather have a 670 + full-coverage WB than a 680 on air (eventually 2x 670's).

(Preface: I have been reading up on/catching up on water cooling, methods and equipment, for about 5-6 months now... I have read probably 200 "Watercooling for Dummies" and the answer is always "whatever you like"... argh)
I have also been a bit distraught about whether to go with a 420 in the top or a 360. I really don't want to cut into the case, so a 360 makes sense in that regard; but then I have heard the SR1 420mm fits (the low-FPI or high-FPI? I'd prefer more cooling, i.e. 20-30fpi, if going with a 30mm thick rad)... Then, there is the bottom; the 240/280(?) would be great and add a lot of future-proof-ness, but losing 3 hard drive bays is tough to swallow for me (1-2 SSDs + 4x HDDs minimum... do a lot of audio editing). Again, I don't mind a slim rad with a high FPI (and 1900rpm fans), although I going with a single 140mm would allow for a much thicker rad? If I were to go 420/360 + 140 I would like to be able to move the 140 to the rear or on the fan mounted to the drive cage if possible should i need to install a 240/280 at the bottom.
I am leaning more towards a 3930K + RIVE as I can get the CPU @ MicroCenter for $479 and the board for $419... the cheapest I have seen anywhere, online or in person.

Alright, sorry for the rambling; I have just been giddy like a schoolchild!
The main reason I am posting this is that, since I haven't had a chance to order my parts yet for my build (well, most of them; got a Swiftech Apogee HD (white), a few Scythe 1900rpm 110cfm fans, 6x Bgears Fan Grills, a handful of compression fittings and 45* fittings, etc) due to my grandmother going into the hospital for pneumonia, having 2 LITERS of fluid drained from her lungs/surrounding her lungs, and then 2 days after being released receiving a call to find out that the fluid was filled with cancerous cells and thus out of the blue diagnosed with Stg3 Lung Cancer (she has never smoked a cigarette in her life, although my grandfather was a smoker... and he just got over a year of chemo for, surprise, lung cancer... although his was "only" Stg1-2)...
I just opened my case today. The box was beat to sh** by UPS but everything looked okay, so I waited until today to open it as it is the first I have had any free time at all in nearly 3 weeks. I figured it would be fine, as even though the packing box my HALE90 850W PSU came in was beat up, the PSU itself is pristine and beautiful smile.gif
...unfortunately, I cannot say the same for my Switch 810 frown.gif Now, I may just be "nit picky", but I figure that a $180 case should arrive without a blemish...
Instead, it seems like somebody has already had this case and then shipped it back prior to my receiving it... The screws on the window-side panel were on so tight that the paint is stripped off and it took an 18v electric drill/screwdriver to remove the THUMBSCREWS... Turns out the top one was forcibly screwed in at about a 15* angle which caused some of the threads to strip. On top of that, the rear of the same side panel is bent at the top (where there is the slight 90* bend for the spot the screws mount) that is bad enough to make it almost impossible to put the side panel back on, and the paint is cracked/stripped; the plastic on-off button spring was dislodged, the "shutters" have a few that are "bowed" significantly (I can fit about 5-6 credit cards stacked on top of each other through the slots without touching the plastic), and the cardboard box that contained all of the screws/cables/ties was open and all but one of the zip-lock backs were OPEN!

The best part? NEWEGG DIDN'T INCLUDE A G*D-D*MN PACKING SLIP! They gave me one for my PSU, which was part of the SAME ORDER, but the Switch810 didn't come with one; so I am hearing "Well, no packing slip, there is nothing we can really do unless you want to pay (excessive amount) for shipping so we can inspect it and determine if it warrants a replacement"... I am p*ssed with Newegg about this; I love NZXT and they make some of the nicest stuff around. To give some perspective, I decided to order this over a CASE LABS TH10! I don't regret it, but I will if these issues aren't taken care of... :/

Even with the lower prices of the MB/CPU at Microcenter, I was still considering ordering from Newegg (customer loyalty), but they just lost that, especially with the cases of them not honoring bent pins with that MB (happened to a friend... I watched him peel of the cover when he got it and literally 1/8 of the socket was bent... Newegg said "screw off" and my buddy is dealing with ASUS themselves now, who are at least treating him with a modicum of respect).

I know there is an NZXT rep here, but I am unable to access my PM's (I am on my mobile phone... again, have barely been able to sit down the past few weeks). I will try to PM you (NZXT rep) as soon as possible, but if you read this before then, I would appreciate it if you could contact me. I was hoping to order a bunch of your individually-sleeved cables (white) for CPU/MB/SATA/Fan/PCIE/etc cables, as well as 6-8 of the new fans you guys have (up to 2krpm 140mm) and a Sentry Mesh fan controller, direct from your site, but I would really like to get this dealt with first. Newegg has been no help, and I am really disappointed with the way they handled shipping the product and responding now that their p*ss-poor shipping damaged MY case.
(I took dozens of photos as I opened it, just in case, as I read about this happening in numerous prior posts, so they are available if/when needed).

Sorry for the long post everyone, and I hope to be posting my new machine here ASAP!!! biggrin.gif

All the best,
nleksan

nleksan,

If you ordered it from Newegg, regardless of the packing slip, they should warranty it. I mean, you have proof of your order confirmation, right?

When I bought my Switch from them, the box it came in was pretty beat up too. There was a nice big hole where I assume someone had kicked it. Thankfully, it came out of the box with nothing on it. UPS likes kicking PC case boxes around. It's one of their favorite pasttimes.

I think you should demand to speak with a manager, because this just doesn't seem right.

Guess i forgot to say in my push pull setup I'm using 120mm on the h100 rad and trying to use 140mm on the top but the screw heads holding up my radiator are stopping me from mounting my 140mm fans they hit the fan blades. So I'm guessing I need a a screw with a flat head ?

So you have 120mm fans on the bottom of the rad, then 140's on top? I'm not sure how well that would work but i would assume you need a flat head machine screw, or you could even use a fan spacer/silencer gasket to give the fans extra clearance. If the top 140's aren't screwing into the radiator how are you fastening them, with a nut on the other side? I assume you have the 120's screwed into the bottom of the radiator, then the radiator screwed into the 120mm fan mounting holes of the case, and then putting the 140's in the open space below the adjustable vent. Looking at my case it seems like something like this http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/detail.ex?sku=29424 would work but i think just using a silencer gasket would be far easier and take the guess work out. I just run 120's on both side of my H50 so i don't know how well push pull with 2 120's pushing and 2 140's pulling would work.

Okay NZXT. All of my panels some some issue with them. So, you need to send me one of each panel, but it needs to be the flat black ones. I will make up the damage, I mean creat the damage, I mean pm you the damage so you can use the pics to send me the replacements panels I need.
