I'll tell you now tho, DO NOT GET THE BITFENIX ALCHEMY EXTENTIONS, they are absolutely complete junk! Used em in my gf's build and the quality is terrible and extremely hard to connect the two pieces together. I myself in my current rig( not the switch) have some performance pcs generic sleeves extensions and they are more than 100 times better quality and asthetics. The BITFENIX are limp and ugly!

The price is definitely crazy but also the case is ultra tower and in my opinion looks very nice. Lots of potential in it..

Congrats on your new case and system *cough* switch.
If you do a search on FrozenCPU for "cable extension", you'll get a ton of results. Same thing for Amazon, though there I searched specifically for "NZXT cable extension". Again, lots of beautiful cable extensions to choose from.
I haven't seen anyone mod the side panels in such a way as to allow quick access to the internals, but I would love to see it done.
When I bought mine, I was torn between the Corsair 650D and the Switch. One of the big selling points for the 650 was the side panel retention mechanisms. The Switch just beat the pants off of it everywhere else though. tongue.gif

So I take it the NZXT brand is top-notch? I had seen some other posts on it, but I just wanted a trusted opinion on the brand. Thanks!

Also, I'll do some research and see if there has been anything involving a Corsair-esque panel mechanism for those stubborn Switch panels.

Also, I entirely agree with the Cosmos comment...I just think less is more with my cases and the cosmos looks like it's trying too hard.

I love the style of the cosmos, and the internal design, but I wanted to watercool, and it just doesnt have enough support for the price.

To the new switch owners, enjoy it, love it!!!!

I came to the same conclusion. I own the Cosmos S which does in fact have enough space for both my 240 rads. The Cosmos II technically does if you remove the bottom HDD cages but I wanted a side window and if I was going to spend $330 on a case I would want it to be PERFECT.

I just got my switch 810 matte black. I thought NZXT improved it and added cutout in the top optical bay, but it still looks the same as the old version.
frown.gif( VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT THAT. but AWESOME CASE biggrin.gif:D:D

They did but you most likely bought from a place that still had the older version in stock. Same thing happened to me. Since the matte black isn't sold in as high of volume the stores selling them probably haven't had the chance to replace their stock with the newer version yet.

the top cutout doesnt block anything anyway lol. at least, not for me. It's probably on < 1/3 of the last fan on my rad, and not only is there a disk drive underneath anyway (meaning cutouts would do NOTHING), but my fan is like a cm off of the metal anyway, so it doesnt do anything. If you already have the case, I really dont see a point in trying to exchange it and go through the trouble JUST for some holes in the bay that you can cut yourself if you have the tools

Hard to say. You would probably have to ask the site you are purchasing from for them to confirm if they have the newest version or not. I'm not even sure if there is anything on the box that distinguishes them as different.
