I just pulled the trigger on a gloss black switch from Amazon. How bad is this gloss at showing prints any ways?

I was also thinking of spraying the removable front and top portions of the case with some red paint for a splash of color, what say you guys, yea or nay? Nothing fancy, just some of that colonial red rustoleum sells for plastic.

It's going to be interesting getting everything to fit in this thing as I need all 6 HDD slots and then some. I'll probably end up double stick taping my SSD's somewhere inside it. It will be doubly interesting as the Mini-SAS to SATA breakout cables I have are going to be too short. It's a freaking BEAR to get mini sas cables out of things.

Is there any chance us weirdos with too many drives might be able to mount the drives facing the normal orientation? That would be sweet!

I'm just waiting need to finish up my modded front panel (similar to ITDiva) and then final pics will be posted:

700
(thanks to letterkilled for doing this for me biggrin.gif )
just needs mesh inserts

ALSO, I use my PC a lot to rip my blu-ray collection, and on my old PC it took FOREVER!
I use ripbot264 on 2-pass settings (it's awesome, I compress 1080p blu rays to 4gb a piece and keeps full quality and original soundtrack in surround sound)
On my old PC -- Q6600 @ 3.0 GHz -- each pass would take 2.5+ hrs. Just started ripping now to leave it overnight (4 movies in a batch), and each pass is ETA to finish is 42 minutes. man I love this thing. I can only imagine the 2600k with HT.

Average crazy biggrin.gif

But in all seriousness, it would be great to have the sata ports facing the rear of the machine instead of out the side. Maybe. I might find it fits beautifully as it is too, not sure yet.

I like having my M4 in its adapter in the bay. Less is more to me I guess.

I'm thinking of mounting a EX240 rad in front vertically as some do, but would still like to keep some HDD spots available. Has anyone ever mounted a HDD cage from the Switch on the floor? I think I can make it work out, if I can get this huge D5 mounted under the DVD slot. (well actually the DVD will be in 2nd slot 'cause of the 360 rad up top). Will probably be looking to mount the 250 round helix rez horizontally.

People with 240 rads in bottom or front will u post a pic do I can look, or a link to pic. It's hard/annoying at to search this much thread on my phone at work!

Thanks if you do!
