I used an HCP1200 with an RX240 on the bottom, they were fairly close. HCP1200 is 1/2" shorter than AX1200 and not fully modular so it needs less cable space (tighter bend radius off the box). A 280mm would be TIGHT if not impossible. However, what in the heck do you need 1200w in a system thats lucky to pull 300w from the wall? My heavily OC'd 3570k and 670 manage a whopping 274w max and I'm using a tiny SFX 450w PSU.

thanks for the photo! I see you have a fan in the front there, and if I do a bit of dremmeling and drilling I think I should be able to get a 240mm in.
I dont really need a 1200W PSU at all, but it was on sale and I wanted something fully modular. So I went full overkill biggrin.gif

I got ya, I've done the same thing. You should not need to dremel anything for a 240, a 280 will most likely run into the PSU and honestly I don't think you need the extra cooling capacity for that build to the point of wanting to dremel the case. You could probably run a single 360 and be fine.

Does anyone know how to setup the SD reader? I can't figure it out!

I might just get a 240mm for the bottom. Saves me money and hassle over a 280mm, which I don't even need. Now to start throwing my money at EK again... rolleyes.gif

hot air rises. shouldnt the fans be pulling air from the bottom of the case and pushing it into the case? more efficient?

Sometimes, yes, although different setups can have some benefit since we are not relying on convection but powerful fans. In the case of that picture being taken, it was just set on there for testing. I never managed to complete that build and parted it out.

Input required!

So I figured I should experiment with painting possibilities, especially after seeing this guy's case. Credit to NZLDstryr in his forum thread.

In general, the trim will be matte/satin red. But the grill and bundle of pieces in front, on the bottom, can be painted in a variety of ways.

Album of images

Which looks best / cleanest / most striking? Any other suggestions?

Are those done already or photoshopped?
But either way, I either like all white, or the 3rd one where the white ends in the same angle as the panel thumb.gif

They're badly photoshopped, or...GIMP'ed haha. Hence the jaggies along the edges. So it will actually end up a bit different than these photos, but this is better than trying to imagine it.

As far as the first one goes, I feel there are too many lines and it starts to get messy, or your eye is drawn to the area too much. I agree with you on number 3, though.
