MunneY: What a douchey thing to say. Xnine and Retell are an awesome addition to this community and one of the reasons I am now a big fan of NZXT.

Xnine, I think you guys are a great investment by NZXT.

These guys have sent my replacements for defective parts and all I had to give them was my serial number and address.

Top notch guys.

I've read comments here and there about installing Raystorm blocks, thought I'd tell you what I do (I have 2). On the 1155 backplate those tiny little stickies don't hold much. So I get a block of wood (end of a 2x4) and set against it, and some wide painters tape and make a couple of passes from the back side of the case to the open area most cases have at the end of the mobo tray. Works like a charm and you don't need to bother your significant other who's reply might be a rolling of the eyes and a dissatisfied expletive.

But getting to cable management. Good grief I don't understand why some of these cables are so long. The USB 3.0 cable is made to plug into a mobo, not the back of the case and is about a foot too long for my mobo. The rest of the cables can be routed but I don't know what I'm going to do with all that stiff USB 3.0 cable. What did you guys do?

@ fantomau, that seems kinda sketchy! You better hope those shut off all the way! I think that koolance's QDC's are by far the best invention for water cooling ever! That's why I'm using them all over my loop! I wish you the best of luck with those!

Why does that look sketchy? I plan on using a valve for draining in my loop. Granted, the QDC's are a nice addition and I certainly won't argue against having them.

Idk just seems to me like if you turn both to the off position there will still be a few millilitres of water in between so when you pop it off it might leak a little bit!?

EDIT: and OH YEAH BABY, CPU should be here today biggrin.gif I can finally power up my mobo and check out the awesome features it has!

Thread Starter
I just wanted to address you guys personally. Your support and kind words are appreciated, far more than you know.

NZXT is a small company, I'm a part time employee and a full-time Vet Tech student. OCN isn't the only forum I am a part of either. I support 11 forums/BBS, so sometimes things take a little time. I'm not asking for a pity parade or anything, that's just how it is.

As many of you know, I'm not just some customer service guy. I work for NZXT, handling community requests, questions, etc, but I'm also a modder, watercooler, gamer, and enthusiast myself. I wouldn't work for NZXT if they didn't care what you or I had to say. And I think that will be evident in the coming months with some new things you'll be seeing.

I literally sit and trawl through forums and BBS, searching for problems, questions, builds, comments, reviews, etc. It's not just a "oh hey I'll drop by here." I spend all my time looking through everything to be as proactive as I can.

Thank you for your kind words. We do try our best, and I'm happy that I can be on the same level as everyone here. I'm not better than anyone here, I'm simply just like everyone here. smile.gif

I absolutely agree, and found NZXT's dedication to customer service to be "above and beyond"!

I asked about being able to get a second louvered top so that I could have one with the mesh mod and another with cutouts for my 38mm fans setup. XNine took care of me, and a whole top panel assembly arrived yesterday. More than I asked for and courtesy of NZXT.

Took about 3 weeks, so have patience

It just does not get any better than that in the computer parts world.

Thanks again XNine,

Darlene

Good to hear, Darlene. I know it took a while because Shipping was trying to figure out just how to get parts out to the Virgin Islands, then they had to ship it, and I'm sure it went through customs, etc. But I'm glad it turned out for the best. Thank you for your support and kind words.

Or just get an X79 board, you won't have to remove the stock backplate, just install the Raystorm using the supplied X79/2011 screws. Problem solved biggrin.gif

As for the USB 3.0 cable... lots of people still don't have 3.0 headers on their motherboard, and typically the header to back panel extensions aren't very long. We have to think of those people too. For wiring, too much is better than not enough. For my USB 3.0, I just curled it up top behind the front I/O panel to keep it neat and tucked away.
