Wow,
It's been a while since I did an update on my build, as I waited on fittings and then had to figure out what other fittings were going to be needed, and then another couple pumps . . . . . .
Setting up this particular loop has been quite the excercise in planning and patience.
With all the mobo related items under water; 2 Memory blocks, Chipset block, Mosfets-VRM block, and then CPU block on the primary loop, I had to choose the loop order carefully to maximize efficiency. As cool as memory normally runs, if it doesn't come first with freshly cooled water, then you'll end up making it hotter that if you didn't WC it at all. Chpsets produce rather little heat, so the chipset block got routed next. Finally, the mosfets / VRM block, they actually generate quite a bit of heat, especially when overclocked & overvolted. From there the loop goes thru the 240 rad to knock out some heat, before returning back up to the CPU and then 420 rad and res.
The graphics cards are going on a seperate loop with two 420s that will be built as a pedestal. The Koolance 452 X2 dual bay res with the two D5 variable speed pumps in series will supply that loop, with a third D5 with small integrated top res, added between the rads to insure plenty of flow.
This main loop starts from the two Swiftech 35X pumps in series in the Koolance RP-401 X2 single bay res. (Primary res)
After I got all the ram, mosfet, and chipset blocks plumbed in, I realized that I had a lot of sweeping 90's and 45's that add a fair amount of restriction, so I added in a third 35X pump with an Alphacool acrylic top with a small top mounted res (Bitspower ice red) in the line going from the mosfet / VRM block to the lower 240 rad for a little extra flow rate boost.
I went with the third pump mid-loop, as I want to be sure I can maintain a minimum flow rate of 1.25 gpm without having the pumps at max speed all the time. All 3 pumps can run off my custom PWM speed controller.
After that extra pump, the flow continues to the lower 240 rad, and exiting that rad, goes thru the Koolance flow meter and up to the CPU, from which it then goes to the top 420 rad and back to the primary res. I saw a couple posts where guys thought the acrylic version of the flow meter was a bit too fragile, and broke easily, so I bucked up the extra $ for the stainless steel version.
In the pics, you can see the "T" 's with valves, one at the top as a fill / vent, and one at the bottom as a drain / vent. There is also a fill / vent line from the top of the secondary res that tucks out of the way between the top rad and the edge of the case when not un use. The lower cover hides the flow meter sender and drain fittings when in place.
You'll see that I also added the optional heaatsink, and a fan for the third 35X pump.
Mounting it was another excecise in planning and patience.
I made a platform from the translucent red acrylic that my accent panels are made from, and mounted it on 6 standoffs, 1.5" out from the mobo tray for easy cable access to the grommets, and tubing passage from the top rad to the res.
I then made 2 mounting brackets from aluminum angle to mount the pump assembly to the platform and polished them for a nice appearance, as well as adding 2 red leds to the acrylic pump top.
The top mounting bracket is easily visible in the pics, but the lower bracket is right under the 2 heatsink "feet", and isn't too visible. I drilled and tapped the acrylic so the pump assembly then attaches with 3 screws. All the cables then pass under the mounting platform and thru the closest grommet.
Hopefully my experience of planning and execution, not to mention the fortune spent in extra fittings, as it's a try several alternatives and use the best process, will make it just a little bit easier for the next person to plan something similar.
Darlene
OK here's the pics: the internet is a series of tubes.. (Click to show)
Here's the third pump and most of the plumbing with the lower rad cover in place:

Here's the upper portion of the plumbing showing in detail all the mobo blocks:

Here's the lower portion showing the pump and lower rad plumbing, the upper pump mount bracket can be seen pretty well here too:

Here's the lower rad with the flow meter sender and drain line in place with the cover off:

Here's the top fill / vent lines externalized for use:

Here's a perspective of the overall plumbing layout with the lower rad cover off:

Looks incredible. So much complexity and yet it looks very clean. Love the RIV full cover wb too. Awesome work.

Thanks. Oh and amazing work ^^

Yeah I have my pumps plugged in there, and my temps seem higher across the board (cpu WC loop and kuhler 620's on the 580 SLI)

I was going to say im done building my switch but its far from done , I was in atlanta for 3 months for work and was only back in ontario canada for 2 weeks with my wife and kid before leaving again for 2 more months this time in little rock arkansas .. I wanted to spend as much time with the family while I was back home but also needed to get the parts I needed and get the build to at least a running state ... I still need cable extensions and wire management and even tubing management , also going to change the position of the rx240 so I have somewhere to mount my hard drive so its not just hanging there.. Im open to comments , keep in mind there is still a ton of work to be done!!

Think I'll have problems putting a h100 up top in push pull with the Asus z77 saber tooth? I'd like to not have to do any case Modding at the moment.

Low profile ram if it matters.

You will have absolutely 0 issues with that set up.

What is those adapters called that those valves are connected to?

Very nice indeed...

NVM, I found them T-Splitters...
