Congratulation on getting it running! thumb.gif

After seeing your temps I feel a bit better about mine. biggrin.gif

I was just too impatient to wait on my graphics card to come, so I "borrowed" a HD6970 DCII fom my MIVE-Z, 2600K phantom rig to see how everything was going to work out. (had to take the cover of for clearance, as it rubbed the pump)
Windows loaded on the Revodrive 2 X3 in what seemed like little more than the blink of an eye. Actually, it was really a few minutes, but damn it was fast.
Installed some basic test / diagnostic programs, anti-virus, and ran Windows Updates. . . . Damn, did I mention these freakin' hex cores are fast, lol
Set XMP profile in bios and ran prime95 for a couple hours to see how XMP settings worked for 32GB, and all went well. Haven't OC'd anything yet, just getting a feel for stock temps and how it runs overall first.
Ambient was 35C, that's 95F, in the house here this afternoon and I got 40C - 42C idle temps, with 60C - 63C temps running Prime95.
It will be interesting to see how much better the temps can get when I move the rig to a room with an AC.
I found that I got to like having the little display for the flow rate, tetiary pump RPM, and its heatsink's fan RPM, but since the Switch is kinda short on bays, I had to come up with another option, and one that looks pretty nice as well.
I mounted it on the PSU cover, towards the front where it's easily seen thru the window.
I put some connector plugs on it so I can remove it to take out the PSU cover without having to remove the back side panel to deal with the cables and connections.
Overall, I'm pretty excited so far, a lot of slow meticulous work coming to fruition.
Hope I've been of some inspiration along the way,
Darlene

Looking good, Darlene. Are you going to do a retro build log?
I see you pulled the fan off the HDD bay to make some room. I'm going to leave mine for now but trying to figure out if I want to ditch the two thumbscrews at the end of the cage when I build the cover for it or work around them. I've got a lot of weight there with the 2 pumps, 2 HDD's and 2 SSD's and I'm thinking right now to leave them for a little insurance.

And I was going for the 3930K with R4E, wifey did not like the total and had to return it (I guess do whatever you want means do what I told you to). Anysways I'm back to the M5F with an i7 2700K.

Here is what I have for Ram shortlisted - https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=15794954

Got the 2700k running at 4.6 - http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2479348 So ram that will easily let me take it to 5ghz would be nice.

I know how that goes. I actually got lucky on my wife this time. "As long as it looks green and pretty I don't care. upsidedwnsmiley.gif " I'm going to green the F*** out of it! LOL!

I guess now that it works, and I don't have to worry about being totally embarrased by failure, I should start a build log biggrin.gif

Hope my efforts have been of some inspiration along the way,

Hmmm. Not enough cowboy, I mean tubing.

medieval.gif Very nice.

Edit: This looks like it should be a maze on a McDonald's play mat. I am trying to figure where everything is going but I'm getting lost in a sea of red. lol

Edit again: I seriously can't find what and where all that goes. You have to explain it to me.

G'Day all, just wanted to say how much i'm luvin my new Switch 810. Matt Black, just like black. Don't where white sunnies either !!!thumb.gif
I't has every thing I wanted and more.
Temp's have ben great, ivy 3770 at 4.4g with CM 212 evo 59c max on BF3 at 5720x1200
Evga 680gtx FTW 4G at 1300Gpu and 6408 Mem clocks max 67c with fan at 65%.
Heaps of room and good airflow.
I set mine up with 2 x 140 front and 2 x 140 bottom front, I like positive ventilation for dust reasons.
Anyway thanks for the forum and thread, heaps of good stuff here and made my purchase a good one.
Reps to everybody, lol, only jokeing.biggrin.gif:D:D

Standard optical drive thread is 3mm, so I just used 3mm by 10mm long standoffs to secure the fan controller and bay resevoirs.

I fabbed up a piece to cover the entire area out of 3 colors of acrylic and depending on how happy I am with it I think I'll go ahead and remove the thumbscrews. Originally I was going to do a two piece but if this turns out like I want then as long as it's attached to both sections it will help with support.
IDK, the acrylic tends to bow and this go around I forgot to weight the pieces down when I did the edge gluing so I might have some edge alignment problems. doh.gif Interestingly the pieces are all supposed to be the same thickness but even eyeballing shows a slight difference. Ah well I'll know when I go out to the shop later this morning.
On another note my new tri-color "bi level" acrylic cover is installed now and it turned out well. After all the acrylic adhesive I ordered I've ended up using maybe an ounce or less. smile.gif
As soon as I get some fan controller problems dealt with I'll get it back up and get some more shots for the log.
